What is your suggestion?
A: Add the engineer flamethrower back

How would this benefit the server?
A: The engineer flamethrower was a cool weapon, and it fit the rebel engineer style perfectly, and the turret does not. The turret we have now is good, but I think if we got the flamethrower back it would be not only cool but might help engi recruit more, but most importantly it would fit in better. I understand since its not on the MW Base it wouldn't have attachments, but then again the old flamethrower didnt have any attachments.

(For it to be brought back it would need lots of changes to be worthwhile)

I already said my peace elsewhere, but I think if the flamethrower is to come back, it should like other weapons in the MW pack with the ability for attachments or at the very least do significant damage to make it viable. The old flamethrower was very unreliable due to the damage output and was only good for mace checking and being funny. It should be used for: Fob defense, Mace checks, room clearing, and mainly destroying props. TLDR, +1 if it has attachments that make it good or just flat out has good damage but -1 for the old flamethrower.

-1 The flamethrower felt very unreliable when it was around and rarely ever landed any kills in my experience, it consistently lost to people using shotguns as it didn't kill them fast enough and I constantly felt as if the little range it had made it far too situational to be useful against people wielding AR's/LMG's, it was almost always the better choice to just use the 725 instead as that at the very least guaranteed that you'd get the kill or at the very least do chip damage if they happen to be too far away. Alongside that, even when you only used the flamethrower for its one niche of destroying props, it still did that too slowly to have a real effect from my experience on the battlefield, sure it could help breach into FOB's, but this job was already done much better then Heavys anyhow.

Comparing this to the turret now which allows an engineer to lock down points and significantly slow down enemy pushes, allowing for them to better fill out their defensive playstyle, there just seems to be very little benefit to going back to the flamethrower now apart from possibly fitting the theming better.

Unless major changes are made to the flamethrower to allow for it to consistently out damage enemies in close range, I believe keeping the turret will always end up being the better choice of kit for Engineer.

The flamethrower was unreliable and very janky to use but oh did it feel rewarding mowing down a squad with a rapid fire infinite ammo laser whip.
If there would be changes to make the flamethrower have a more defined 'throw' I think It could/would rival the turret they have now.
Engies and Grids have always been opposites. the combine have props that Engis can use is visa versa. and bringing back the flamethrower would complement that by making Grids more of a defense class, and Engi more of an offence class.
but who knows I haven't been an Engi CO in a while.

Already gave my two cents but reading these, I can see a list of changes that would be needed:
- Better damage
- Better range
- Have the flamethrower have a throw to it (Like an actual flamethrower, that shoots a flammable liquid and not some sorta flammable shit gas)
I think these changes would be needed to have that thing replace the turret, as the turret is 200 thousand times better than the old flamethrower.
