And otherwise try to generally, I guess fix it/the issue. While planning a server-wide event, you had another Gamemaster assisting you. Unfortunately, 5 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed? I would either attempt to get a new person for it, otherwise attempting to delay the amount to another day or by a few hours as needed. Though if the event wouldn't be too rough I could try to generally go through with the event. While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react? probably be trying to figure out what I spawned in last, or at the very lesat checking the console. Aswell as asking in any GM chat if whatever ever I spawned in has a history of breaking the server While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react? I would tell the CO to not close the door, and delete the prop lbocking it. If they do it again I would report it to the relevant CO/AIU/whoever I may need to do so. While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation? I would attempt to figure out why they dislike it and remedy the situation if able. While you are hosting an event, you notice that the server starts to lag dramatically. What do you do? Try to delete anything that isn't explicitly needed for the event. mainly in terms of props/figuring out what's causing the lag Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is greatly appreciated.
1.Rebel forces have destroyed a combine train a bit into the coast. This event primarily has both sides contesting over crates, both of them a bit outside of the borders of both sides. Each crate being worth 5-10K resources. With there being a time limit voted on by the players, and at the end of it the creates being tallied up and res given.
2. a combine VIP has been shot down inside of a zombie/antlion occupied territory. With this one it would have the combine attempting to succesfully evac their VIp and save them. As for the rebels they want to kill or capture( gets more res) the VIP. With the VIP either being a player who wished to be that, or a GM.
3. The combine have gotten word a rebel supply depot. This would have the combine attacking multiple sections of a front (assuming I can choose which flags are cappable/disable flags swapping) Think of it like a game of breakthrough in battlefield. With as the fight goes on, heavier vehicles/units being allowed. with each sector granting the combine more resources/bonuses Do you understand the basics of using ULX and how to build in gmod? Slightly? im a bit familiar with building but ive never truly used ULX
