Idea: shooting while in mid air resets your horizontal velocity to 0 (or maybe just slow you down) (except when hit with slugger)

This will prevent shooting while air dodging, while not leaving players defenseless for pressing space or stepping on a slightly too steep incline.

What do you think?

it sounds like it could be cool in some* situations, but overall i think it would mess up peoples movement and be more of an annoying change than beneficial

Prove me if im wrong, but, who cares about crouch-jump hitbox? i mean, tick rate is almost dead, you cant even tell the difference, hitbox takes some time to sync up with an actual player position

oh god that sounds horrible. imagine trying to move around with that? it would be so choppy and unfun, one of the best things about source engine is the fluidity of movement (imo) and this would ruin it.
