I've been in this community for several years and I want to actually contribute. I've also noticed that tickets don't always get taken quick enough in some scenarios. For example, being an engineer myself having to call a staff mid combat to recolor a rollermine takes too much time as it often doesn't get taken quickly. Overall I know a lot about the server and I have played almost every class on both sides. it would advance my game play opportunities for not only myself but for others players as well.I feel that being staff would help better connect myself with the community as well. I am pretty experienced in calming down situations not just in a game but in real life as well. I'm willing to learn and grow with the CvR community while providing a good experience for all players. Possibly Kenny, Wizz, or Brownfish but I don't expect any of them to. An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? I would take them into a sit a separate times and get each side of the story. If it was a valid reason I would just verbally warn the Union and tell him to be more careful. If they do it again on purpose I would then hand out a real warning. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member?I would bring him to a sit and inform him that its FailRP then warn him for such. I would then tell him if he wants to defect just go play on a combine character. I would SC him while hes in the base and inform his CO's of whats happened. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this?I'd tell them that it's not possible to demote me IC for an OOC situation. I'd then record/SC whats happening and inform a higher staff member as well as his CO's. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do?Grab the steam ids and ban them with the evidence I took via recordings or SC. I'd send the evidence to a higher staff member and have them deal with it accordingly. You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
