What region are you located in?
Ontario, Canada (EST)
Previous Warns?
4 in total, 2 that need to be removed.
Previous Bans?
No, sir.
Why do you want to be part of the staff team?

I wish to be part of staff because I feel I'd make a good moderator and I could provide a good experience for the player base on CvR. I feel that I could be that moderator that everyone respects and I'd have a different style of moderating, I wouldn't go out of my way to warn, kick, ban every single person that breaks the rules. Some don't know the rules and need that reminder that there are rules in place for a reason. On the other hand you have players that are known to minge and mess around and not take this game seriously. Certain staff members we see as annoying (perspective of a player) and we would deem they have gone to far. Sometimes staff let their emotions get in the way of moderating and some punishments can be unjust. I'm also on for long hours at a time and I'd be able to still enforce the rules at 3-4 AM EST when most of the mods are sleeping. I'm liked by a lot of people and I don't see why not give this staff application a shot.
Why should you be accepted on the staff team?
I'm someone that you can rely on, I don't let my emotions get in the way when I am moderating, I can be the first to get to a report and deal with it in a fair manor and I make myself clear so no mistakes can be made and both parties would understand. I'm on for a long amount of the time and I frequently read the rules for any changes that could potentially be made. I'm active in the discord and spend a good amount of time with the community. I wouldn't be someone that gets accepted and leaves 2 weeks later, wasting your time as you have a job to do here. I can be there for players that need help and wouldn't hesitate to help some people out.
Do you understand that you must change your Steam name to "[DEFN] (Username)" upon getting accepted?
Yes.
References?
None at the moment.
An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? I would ask for both sides of the story from each person and if they have a witness who was there or if they have video evidence that I could see and manage with. If the MPF Union is below level 5-10 and is only an 09 I'd give him a verbal warning as his teammates should be telling him about the rule of not killing civilians. Now if it's at a capture point and it's turned into a Combine FOB, I'd inform the civilian that he and other civies wouldn't be allowed in those areas if they specify it. Now if it was cross fire and I would dismiss the civilian as he was taking a risk running into gun fire and tell the MPF Union to try to avoid it from happening again. But as a player I could understand if civilians enter an FOB/run into cross fire and would take that into consideration.

An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member?

I'd bring the HECU soldier into a sit and explain to him that there is no "RP Defect" system unless you have been captured by NpU and turned into a civil protection pill. Now I'd have to read the helix guide again but if you're looking for the appropriate answer I'd explain to the HECU soldier that he would have to change teams and become a Combine recruit. If none of the Combine NCO's train him for a while as he's waiting I'd type in advert [STAFF] Combine, train your recruit[s].
You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this?

I'd explain to him that this wouldn't be allowed as this is an OOC problem being brought into an IC scenario and I'd bring it up with other staff members as I myself wouldn't know what to do here as a moderator but as a player when I'm IC I would challenge his demotion saying he felt like demoting be because he was brought into a sit and broke a rule because of it. And then that CO would be known to act like that and I wouldn't be bothered as his demotion wouldn't go through, as he'd need a reason to demote me and I'd let it be know to my IC CO that the demotion he wants to place on me would be VOID.
A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do?

I'd immediately bring it up in the staff chat and would talk to these E-Savages in an attempt to stall them while I get the word on what to do to these guys as banning them would just make them DDOS it quicker. Not sure how you would counter it but I've seen people make those threats ... joke or not they were perma banned from the server and nothing happened to the server. But I'm able to talk to people and crack a few jokes with them and it sounds edgy, I know but I would attempt to establish some sort of connection between us to get them to like me and once I feel that I would convince them it's not worth ddosing as it would only last 1-2 minutes and they wouldn't get far. If I was given the OK to pban them I'll do it without hesitation as the whole server and 40-80 players are at stake and want to be playing this server.
You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do?

W.R.R
Warn, Record, Report.
I'd start with verbally warning the staff member that he's breaking the rules/not doing what he should be doing and if he kept on doing what I verbally  warned him for I'd record the entire thing he's doing and bring it up with senior staff members or directly send it to Sentinel. Assuming this staff member is higher than most, sentinel may know him for a long amount of time and know what he wants to do with it. I've been through this kind of situation countless times on a number of games and their communities and I'd be familiar with what needs to be done. This is how I would react if he responds in a threatening manner or just doesn't respond to my warning. Now if he's doing something fine, I'd bring it up with him in the staff chat and see what other staff members have to say and if he would stop what he was doing or continue to do the questionable act and ignore me and the staff talking to him in the chat.

+1 while you do need to work on refining your knowledge of what to do, that is the purpose of getting trained. You have good reasons for wanting to join the staff team but do know that it is a requirement to follow the rules to a T and that if any staff emotions got in the way they would either be punished or removed * cough cough Violent back during the Turbobird incident*

Denied

Your recent actions and behavior lead me to believe you would rather break the rules than enforce them.  You're welcome to try and apply again In 2 weeks. Use that time to improve yourself.
