Because it looks like you guys could use some help and are in dire need of staff, and seeing as everyone else is applying, I might as well try and do the same. Not to mention that I wanna try my hand at something new on CvR for once since I've done pretty much ALMOST everything that I can do. Caiok, Sigma, Alma, Sev I think An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do?
If the civilian demands a sit, I would bring him to a little private part of the map and ask him what happened, and if he has any evidence regarding the situation. If he does have any video footage, screenshots or just anything that works, I would ask him to send the evidence to me in my DMs, then I would return him, bringing the Union after and asking him for HIS side of the story and if he has any evidence of what happened, returning him too afterwards and bringing back the civilian.
IF the civilian had good evidence of what actually happened and sent it to me, showing me that the kill was unjustified and classified as RDM, and the Union had nothing on his part, I would ask the civilian if there's anything else he needed before I returned him, if he says no I'd just continue, if he says yes I would take care of that quickly, then send him back on his way.
IF the Union is low level (40 or so below), I wouldn't actually warn him, but just tell him not to do it again and explain to him how the RDM rule works here and send him back on his way, essentially giving him a verbal warning.
IF the Union is a pretty high level, I'd just give him a warning considering that he should already know the rules by now and what NOT to do and send him back, ending the sit.
However, if the Union had actual evidence to prove that the kill was justified because the civilian did something wrong (like say, attack his teammates in sight) and wasn't just RDM, I would simply apologize for the inconvenience and send him back on his way, notifying the civilian of the outcome as well through in-game PMs. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member?
I would begin to gather up enough evidence of the situation and bring the HECU to a sit myself, explaining to him that he cannot defect to the combine side no matter what, and that he would be warned for FailRP, then I'd just send the evidence I have to HECU COs to let them deal with the unit IC. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this?
I'd listen to what the CO has to say while recording the whole ordeal, and once they're done, I would just remind them that IC things such as ranks have nothing to do with the current situation, and cannot demote me for not letting them off the hook, then I would warn them to not do it again and return them, whether or not they went along with the threat, I'd just send all the evidence I have to their higher-ups, explain what just occurred and let them deal with the rest. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do?
Simple, I'd screenshot/record everything I need of the situation, send it to someone online who can actually permanently ban them, and let them do so, considering that at this time I would probably be a T-Mod who cannot actually permaban YET. However, If this wasn't the case, I'd just permaban them instantly. You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do?
I would call them out on it, ask them a few questions or two about what they're doing while recording, and then send it to say for example, Joe, and ask him if what they're doing is okay or not, and if it's not, I'll inform the staff member to stop what they're doing under someone's instructions, and if they don't, I would just let Joe punish them accordingly.
joking, obviously he is very active and nice so I don't see why not, spend a lot of time on the server and most likely understands the general stuff necessary to become staff.
