What is your suggestion? A: Buff the shotty that's it nothing else.
How would this benefit the server? A: as you can tell I'm bias I have 2 jobs that use this shotty but it does need to be better as it is so inconsistent and sometimes really annoying. The damage needs to be 300 flat out or 325 as a full headshot doesn't kill a EOW member which is absurd. The shotty's pump is also slow all other shotguns have a way to dish out there pellets decently fast but the 680 is slow. I say to increase the damage as it should have high damage to show for its very very lack luster pump time.
+1 Person above me obviously didn’t read that it affects more than one class. Would be good to see a slight buff since the Sword and Riot shotgun is better by large.

It's way too inconsistent, sometimes you will oneshot to the head and other times you'll fire 3 cartridges without killing anyone... it needs more damage. I'm surprised it has the same, if not worse stats than the Riot shotgun knowing that the latter has a shield mounted on top

+1 I’m not ashamed to admit I’m biased (HECU CO) but ever since the weapon rebalance the 680 has been very lackluster.
It has the same damage as the Riot shotgun, true, but it also has a lower fire rate and a slow rechamber speed (plus no shield, obv). The only remedies to these problems are the slamfire perk (which also raises spread by 100%) and the one pump that increases rechamber speed by 10% (but blocks the use of any foregrips).
The only effective strategy I’ve found is to reduce spread as much as possible through attachments and ADSing so as to hit as many pellets as possible. This has the side effect of making the gun a lot slower (worse handling, slow aim speed, slower ready speed) and removes a shotgun’s best advantage: being able to hit targets within a cone instead of relying on perfect aim.
And at least I have a default assault rifle and grenades to fall back on. LVET medic and grid don’t have that luxury.
hate me if you want but I'm gonna -1 a DMG buff and +1 a FIRE RATE buff.
The M680 may be a little inconsistent, but it absolutely doesn’t need any DMG buff but just a slight fire rate buff.
Now I understand some may ask Why so? So here are "my" reasons bc why the M680 shouldn't get a DMG buff:
1) All divisions that use the M680 (GRID, FOXTROT and LVET MEDIC) are not meant to be frontline units but support units and because of that, they should be relying on their gadgets or abilities to take the full potential of the M680, EX : using the turret to distract the enemy and the M680 to kill.
I didn't forget about HECU existance this is definetly a frontline division but the M680 its not their main gun as they have a much bigger arsenal to should use at their advantage, EX: Deal dmg with the assault rifle while on distance tu use the M680 to instantly finish them.
2) I find it perfectly normal for the M680 to not to be able to one-shot an EOW, MP HVY, or any heavy infantry as those are divisions made to be frontline units and to tank most of the incoming damage.
