What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
With the addition of new tools that improve quality and expand the creativity of what is possible to work with. Alongside perks that let GMs help divisions do great things without gameplay mechanics. It made me want to join once more Gamemasters and create memorable and fun events for everyone once more.

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
I have been Gamemaster twice now in DEFN. First being when Shark was the Head GM of that time. I can not pin point exactly when I re-joined but I believe it was around when he stepped down. It has been a long while since.

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
When it comes to feedback its imperative, as a host, to be able to distinguish the type of feedback given. Considering this servers history with how people treat events.
Actual criticism that comes from a concerned and caring player should always be taken to heart and be used as reference for future projects. On the contrary, someone who only knows how to mock the host and harass him should be ignored and reported. Majority of the time players will be having mixed feelings which is where the host should talk with them personally about it and let them speak out their opinions in a respectable manner.
You also have mute and gag at your disposal if ever need be.

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
Announce that the event is postponned. Losing someone who could greatly help the event be efficient is going to cost you in the end. Even if you could one man it we all know that problems can happen if no one is there to assist you and especially more so in a event of this size. Its better to delay and have the person help you run it smoothly and come out with positive results than risk it all and have faith in your ability to handle it.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
Immediately tell Sentinel and anyone else it was my doing in the quickest form possible. Apologizing for the mistake and explaining the context of what happened.

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
Explain to the NCO that he has the ability to give them the whitelist. Instructing them how to do it and so on. If for some very odd and rare reason the NCO is incompetent at it, I can always give them the whitelist.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
As a GM its expected to improvise on the spot in the occurrence of these situations. Letting them destroy the computer and keep the door closed but also hint that if need be, a BALLISTA/HVY or anyone else who can find explosives can always blow open the door to progress.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
I would talk with the CmD/Maj and ask what's wrong. Trying to reason with the CO before doing anything else. If the CO brings good points about the event, I can always postpone it and improve its quality before running it again. On the other hand, the CO is making no sense or doesn't bring anything worth discussing and is being selfish. I will report them to their COL/DvL and keep him out of events that I run.

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
I explain to them that they can wait to host their DB and don't take that long. If they insist I let them do theirs and then continue with mine.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
Within events GMs are given full permission to do anything necessary to run their event as long as it does not harm or crash the server. Some rules may become temporarily off for said event even.
Outside of events GMs have no permission to uphold rules or punish players but they may aid in small things like RP, perma propping for GRID/Engineer, giving whitelists (if COs, NCOs or Staff can't do it), Factories, Shops etc.

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
Wait for the vehicles to undeploy so you can continue with the preparations. If for some reason the vehicles are still going around after 20 minutes ask them if they could undeploy so you can host your event. If they say no, you can always do the event another time.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
First Phase: The Idea
You get the idea to make a event from somewhere like suggestions or something cool that happened in the server. From that point you begin to develop the idea and its details.

Second Phase: Testing
Test if the concept could work in the server with the players in question. See if the tools you have are suitable and work for it.

Third: Discussion
Talk with other GMs if the idea is good and if needs any suggestions. Improve on the initial ideas you had.

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1. Boxking
Setting: A odd tall and bulky man decides to set up a boxing show in the middle of the conflict for monetary gains and sport.

The Event: This is a simple, RP event. I will be playing as the main character that hosts the event, since its a pretty simple concept I can do it alone with no need for other GMs to help. I will set myself a proper model and scale myself a bit to be taller than the players. Also give myself more health to make sure I don't die instantly by someone's trigger happy fingers. The arena will be placed somewhere in the map where it fits the most and players can pass by while fighting. The ring will be placed with a dupe I made while in singleplayer or in low-pop time, it also can be adapted to change rules and setting. The place around the ring will be a neutral ground or event area, meaning people can't kill each other within it without reason. I will advert it to begin the event.
People will be able to place bets and challenge each other for prizes or sport. Due to the adaptability of the ring a lot of things can be done for the entertainment of the people watching.

2. Overlook Rescue
Setting: A Overlook member of the higher command chains was being transported by dropship and got shot down. Combine and Rebels are to take this high priority target for their own.

The Event: Server-wide event, could be within a campaign. I will be playing as the Overlook member, with assisting GMs as overseers of deployments and on the field balance. Both factions will be in DB where one of their COs or one of the GMs will brief them. Their objective will be to get the target to their base's high command office so he can safely be escorted. The overlook will have a decent enough health pool but can be taken down, he'll be "killed" in this case ragdolled until someone with defibs helps him out.
Both teams will start from their base and make their way to the crashed dropship where they'll have to open the pod and retrieve the target. From there on the target will follow whoever is close to him in a walking pace back to their base.

Event Rules:
- Both sides can only deploy 1 Handpick and 1 Vehicle throughout the event
- SU and MACE are free to infiltrate and attempt to recapture the target if he's within the base as a last resort
- Target needs to be within the specified CO/Overlook office to win
- If the target dies it'll require a HELIX/MED or anyone with defibs to revive him via RP for the event to continue.

3. Cold Conflict
Setting: Due to unkown events to the public, both factions agreed to host a high command meeting with each other. Looking to trade perks from each other with vital and sensitive information the enemy does not want leaked.

The Event: Campaign event. Both factions will have a video meeting within their offices. While SU/MACE/Volunteer Spies attempt to do tasks within the enemies base undetected to gain the upper hand in the deals. Factions will be able to hide information for their advantage and its up to their intelligence officers to figure them out first before theirs is. A DB will be called with the COs or a GM informing of whats going on and the rules.

Event Rules:
- Faction COs doing the deals will be locked within their Office, no one can go in or out during that time as its at high alert
- All perks are visible for both sides (excluding special ones which are hidden and are a bonus for excellent exploration and infiltration)
- COs can trade vital information if they believe is necessary to obtain a perk
- Non-spies may help guard the base
- Both factions have a total of 12 pieces of vital information and both factions have access to two from the enemy to begin bargaining
- Spies will complete tasks to earn a piece of information
- Getting caught can be used as a bargain although its risky

How often do you think GMs should host events?
One event per week, not too much nor too little.

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.
Yes.

Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.

I only read the important part which is the events

Event 1 is trash garbage that's somehow been done like legitimately 20 times, if you do it I would hope you keep an eye on who's there just to abuse it (IE using it as cover or as an unbreachable spawn point)
Event 2 is one where I would even participate myself (hate events!) though I would rather the Overlook member be godded than simply have a high hp pool
I don't know how you could make Event 3 work in CvR considering the average CO's attention span but I like the idea
