List all (if any) previous punishments (Warns/Bans)

None.

What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?

After witnessing other GM's create enjoyable, original events, I came up with a few ideas that I could replicate to make it balanced and fun for both teams. Also, when I'm building something, I'm not able to use advanced tools that would aid my building, which annoys me. Having access to advanced building tools would greatly assist my ability in building.

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.

I occasionally help in a DarkRP server's events. Other than that, no.

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.

I take negative and downgrading feedback with a touch of sugar, as I don't let it go to heart. I enjoy receiving constructive criticism, as it improves my ability in that task.

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?

Proceed with the event to the best of my ability if I cannot find anyone last-minute. I would have to do everything in the event myself, which shouldn't be too difficult with proper preparation.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?

Immediately notify CvR Management and Sentinel. I would also notify my bosses (for lack of a better term).

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?

Go to the PVT, and make sure they were trained properly. I would perform a quick quiz, and check discord for the training logs. Once I have verified that everything's in order, I would then give them the whitelist.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?

Adapt my event to match the circumstances. Then ensure that the balance of the event stays fair, even if that means introducing a new circumstance.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?

Request the CmD/MAJ to stop and to keep opinions to themselves. I would continue the event for the faction participating. I would also request players to re-join the event, with a promise of increased winnings if their side won with less players. At the end of the event, I would lessen the reward for the winning faction if the other faction didn't participate.

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?

Request that the CO's wait patiently, and that they can their debrief after mine is finished.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?

ULX Commands, starting and ending events.

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?

Request the vehicle owners to return to base. If they don't wait for them to return to base or get destroyed. If it's a scheduled event, forcefully move them if they haven't already.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.

I start by making sure the event would be original, and appealing to the players. I move on to balancing, editing certain things so both sides have the same experience. I finalize my event with special tweaks to make sure players stay invested throughout the whole event, and I make especially sure I can handle the event myself if I cannot find a helper in time.

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1. (Transport vehicles and manhacks only) A Ravenholm Portal would be placed in deep foliage in a spot on the map. I would announce that radios are picking up some inference, and that the source is coming from that spot on the map. Once the portal has been discovered, I will announce which side found it first, and provide them interaction options when they decide to do something with it. The Combine and Rebels will fight over control of the portal until one faction successfully opens the portal, in which many Xen creatures will come through. Assuming one faction closes the portal and clears the creatures, they will have the opportunity to scrap the portal for parts, destroy it, or open it again. Opening the portal again would cause 2 large creatures to emerge from it, effectively destroying the portal in the process.

2. (Transports allowed until EMP blast) A distant explosion can be heard from one of the corners of the map. A unmanned, small UFO would be found. The people who discover it first will get some alien weapons from it. When someone is looting the UFO, they will trip an accidental alarm, which will send out an EMP blast that renders all vehicles immobile until the event's end. Both sides will contest the vehicle, until one side can successfully extract the UFO's Warp Core, and take it back to base. Assuming the victorious side would research it, some of them will be given powerful one-life weapons, team RES, and a small amount of tickets.

3. (I'm not sure if this event would work, based on CvR's addons, but I'm assuming it would work.) (Ground Transports only) (edited to make it more fair) A City Scanner picks up large biological activity in an area on the map. A hive of various Xen creatures has been found with a valuable egg that is worth the research. The scanner would go down, and send out a distress signal. That distress signal would get picked up by both Combine and Rebel radios. They fight until one team can successfully move the scanner back to their base, (with grav gun), where they would have to decrypt the data to find out where the Xen infection is. I would roll against them 3 times, they have to beat me 2 out of the 3 times to get an advantage. If they fail, they have no advantage. I would send both teams on a hunt to find it. I would broadcast the location of the Xen infection once someone has found it. The winner is decided when one of the sides can kill the boss enemy, and retrieve the Xenian egg from the hive, and either eradicate it by placing it in water, or take them to base. At the base, they can either research the eggs, or incubate them. If they research the eggs, they will gain access to one-life weaponry, (hornet gun, Vortigaunt beam, etc), and some team RES. If they incubate the eggs, they lose some RES, gain some tickets, and are given bugbait to use. The eggs will hatch, and antlions will pop out. The antlions can be used by the faction in any way they want, being moved around with the bugbait

How often do you think GMs should host events?

three to four times a week, depending on the circumstances.

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.

I will not leak or spread classified Staff and Gamemaster information. I promise to not abuse my GM powers, and will use them responsibly. I will abide by all GM rules, taking precautions and efforts to not break any. I understand what could happen to my GM career if I break any rules.

Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.
All "Q" menu tool uses, building, 'Utilities' usage, and spawnlist uses.

Thanks for reading my application and I wish you the best of luck with whatever endeavor you may be in! Have a wonderful day/night ❤️
(to answer Willy and anyone else that is wondering; I am 15. I might have some sort of voice issue that makes me sound really squeaky, as being 15, I should start to have a deeper voice. Please don't use my voice as a reason for a -1, thanks!)

Gonna have to agree with Big Iron, The application is okay but I don't think your... Personality wouldn't fit GM.

+1 Polar has been a great CWU. He has voiced and then proven his dedication for the server. As one of his CO's I can say Polar has great interest and proficiency in in-depth and interactive roleplay. One of my best and funniest RP experiences was ran by him, in a hospital he built. I'd love to see what he can do with a GM's toolbox.

-1 in my most serious and honest opinion i think you'd abuse so far i have had one good experience with you the rest is getting killed by you as a kilo or having to respond to your non stop tickets. so far any "venture" or anything of that sort is to make it easier to goof anytime your on you make non stop tickets for cars, you've made an anarch faction to literally just get guns to my knowledge you don't have any form or documentation or rules/guideline for this faction nor a sponsor for said faction. I have honestly only heard complaints about you throughout the community but that doesn't mean its true this is just what i've experienced and heard.
however i do agree with sevin you do make a good CWU that much is true

Now i'm not one to backdown from slight tomfoolery, but ASSUMING all of these things are true, it'll be a -1

-1.
Immature and toxic behaviour in-game. You seem to be creative and I’ve seen you do nice RP activities, but your behaviour definitely needs improvement.

Alot of these -1s are coming from the idea they he *might* abuse, which is unfounded. He has no bans or warns on record. This is some predictive policing bull crap I'm really not a fan of, and at the very least he deserves a chance to prove himself. Even if he did abuse, what would be the worse outcome? He would be kicked off the team, banned, and that would be that. The fear that he might abuse is not worth throwing away a potentially exceptional GM candidate.
The accusation that Polar founded Order Within Chaos just to get weapons is patent lie and baseless rumor. He has set up divisions, ranks, an inventory, rules, a roster, and even alliances with other factions. I can tell you as someone who has been watching his work that he is serious about it and, he is ready to stick with it to the end. The reason it's so bare bones right now is because he literally only started it 5 days ago.
There is complaining that Polar makes too many tickets, and that he needs to get a sponsor GM for his faction. But here he is, offering to do the work himself.

While Sevin has a point that these -1s are the idea of MIGHT, the very concept of MIGHT is based on conjecture, made by ingame observations and experiences. However, those are not inherently unfounded, since the only evidence we can rely on is that of anecdotal experience. Any +1s a person receives is in the same vain - that someone will presumably do well, and will not abuse the powers bestowed upon them, and in turn the alternative is true that a -1 is of the impression that someone will not do well with what is given to them - which only leans as much credence one way, as one is willing to give the other. There might be more instances too, than just simple tickets or OWC, since the staff and GMs in this thread have been around a bit, and probably are well (or simply) acquainted with Polar/Jammin.

For me, personally, I have had positive experiences with this individual, and I know they can be lighthearted and fun, in addition to being creative. My only drawback, and one major thing that makes me reluctant to +1, is their age. I don't know the exact number, but I know they are young. It has little to do with the personality for me, frankly, it just has to do with the unpredictability of youth, which isn't to say anything against Polar/Jammin's character, but simply the given circumstances surrounding them.

However, I will focus now more on the actual application:

- Your tools as GM don't frankly become any more sophisticated than where they are at as a Trusted ULX, since all of your standard uses (such as Precision, and Stacker) are as prevalent as they are going to get. Rope and another tools you may be thinking of will not be of access, and the only major thing you get access to are shells and dynamite, both of which shouldn't be involved in your standard builds, anyways.

- Not every event will be as simple as simply taking the helm - some are very in-depth and will be challenging (or even nigh-impossible) without an assisting GM to ensure smooth sailing. However, I approve of the idea to continue forward with plans, as not to disappoint or to create a sense of flakiness in your characteristics.

- I would have liked a little more elaboration as to HOW you would've proceeded with the event involving the computer. The answer is too ambiguous.

- Balance is good, but don't be afraid to punish for a lack of participation. My concern would lay less in the rewards, and more in the balancing of the event. If the participation is due to a heavy advantage on one side, then it may be prudent to lessen rewards, but if the opposing faction simply chooses not to participate (like what happened in one of my events recently) then I wouldn't advise stressing about it too much.

- Good understanding that GMs have control. The event takes priority, and so do rewards. You also need to get feedback as soon as you can, so getting a DB is the best way for all of this, and getting vehicles to undeploy is critical in getting an event to work properly.

- Good understanding of a process of events. It takes time to think, but sometimes you can get an event out "on the fly" so to speak. But, good emphasis on thinking about it.

- Events are good, however the last one is a little confusing. Do they continue as the scanner, or does the whole faction deploy? If that's the case, then I'm not too sure on reasons to take control of the scanner first. Also, leaving advantages to RNGesus can have some players distraught, although it can make for some tomfoolery. It just might not be prudent with the serious tone of the event. Also, the rewards for Res + Reserves are a little vague, but I don't expect you to know what good values will look like until you get the actual chance to see them.

Overall, good guy. My only reservations are their age, and how their behavior may mold over time.
I remain neutral on this, ever so slightly leaning to a +1.
