What is your current in game level? 79
Discord Username: 2depressive_
Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:571294356
What region/timezone are you located in?: CEST (Serbia)
Do you have a microphone?: yes but i rarely use it
Previous warns or bans?: none
Why do you want to be a Gamemaster?: I wanna be a GM cause of the low pop, in the last few days n weeks, there was a really low population so id want to help the gm team and make some more events to get the pop up and make cvr active
Have you ever been Event Staff/Gamemaster or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions and describe something notable you did in those positions.: No, altough i was grid and once impressed Doof with a singleplayer build
Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.: Id talk it out with the person doing it, have a talk, ask him why hes doing it, and i wouldnt overreact cause that isnt the right thing to do in that situation, id see what the person is harrasing me for and see how i would fix it
While planning a server-wide event, you had another Gamemaster assisting you. Unfortunately, 5 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?: I would delay the event for about 10min to see if any other GM can get on, or continue the event very carefully to make sure i dont make any mistakes and make the event dislikeable.
While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?: Severely apologize to the players very much and ask the dev team to start it up again (if it works like that im not that sure)
While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?: Tell the CO that the computer is required to be there for the fun and fairness of both teams and that removing the computer would make the event unplayable and not fun.
While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?: Ask the CmD/MAJ what was wrong with the event and have a sit with him to talk out the issue and see how we would fix it, if he said that its not fair, i would help them a bit throughout the event and sort out any other issues he had with the event.
While you are hosting an event, you notice that the server starts to lag dramatically. What do you do? Find the cause of the lag, most likely props glitching into the ground or maybe npc's bugging, when i would find the cause, i would remove it and apologize to the players because of the lag and continue on with the event, in the rare scenario where i dont find it nor can anyone else i would repeatedly click Z till the lag stops, when it stops i would fix anything else i removed.
Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is greatly appreciated.
1.PROP HUNT
There will be 2 teams, the seekers, and the hiders, the hider would be able to hide in a certian area of a map with any prop they like and the seekers would try to find the hiders who are disguised as props.
There would be a limit of how much times the hiders can change the prop and there would be a certain amout of props the hiders can use to make it more fair for the seekers,
To make it a little bit more fair, id allow the seekers to ask two times if they are close or far away from a hider while not telling the direction, just telling them how close.
The hiders would have a 40s cooldown of switching props.
The Seekers would have an M4A1 to find the hiders.
The teams would be chosen with a roll. They come up to me (gamemaster) and both of us roll. if he gets the higher number, hes a hider, if he gets a lower number, hes a seeker.
There would be multiple gamemasters to do the roll cause with only one it would take a lot of time.
There would be 2 winners, 1 winner for the hiders, he would win by hiding the longest time and not being found. and 1 winner for the seekers for fiding the most amount of hiders. If theres a tie, it would be decided with roll's.
The winner of the event would recieve rewards such as: credits, division currency, medal, etc.
All the other participants would still get rewards but not as special as the winners.
2.BUILD BATTLE
The players would have to build a certian object to win the game. It would work in 2 rounds. In the first round, the best 3 players qualify for the next round where they build another object and whoever has the best one wins.
The builds would be rated by the players by using the poll system. Same for the decision of what to build, but the gamemasters would choose what the builds could be. The gamemasters would carefully watch over the players and make sure they dont lag the game.
Before the event, anyone who isnt trusted could be trained so they could participate in the event.
There would be big walls around the contestents to make sure nobody copies anybody else.
The winner of the event would recieve rewards such as: credits, division currency, medal, etc.
All the other participants would still get rewards but not as special as the winners.
3.MANHACK BATTLE
There would be 2 teams, the manhacks and the survivors. The survivors would have to defend a point/object and themselves from the manhacks.
Teams would be decided by the players, they could choose either manhack or survivors, there would be a limit to manhacks which would be 10 (also depends on the amount of players active on that day)
There would be 3 GRID/ENGINEERS in the survivor team (depends on the amount of players active on the server that day) that would build barricades and defenses. The rules of building are the same for GRID/ENGINEERS. They would be using rebel style defenses
If the survivors hold back the point/object, they would win credits, division currency, medals, promotions, etc.
Viceversa for the manhacks.
Do you understand the basics of using ULX and how to build in gmod?
I know how to build, i was once a grid and i have a big singleplayer build that even impressed the grid cmd.
I dont know alot about ULX cause i never used it.
