Who warned/banned you?
Quex

Date of Warn/Ban:
2022 December 19

Ban Length:
Permanent ULX blacklist

Warn/Ban Reason:
ULX abuse. Specifically, the tangent of rule D3 that states every prop must be frozen or constrained to something that is.

Why should we remove warn/ban?
I was trying to make a giant cheese trap in base as a joke. The joke being its a giant fucking cheese trap.
(Basically, a yellow triangle block placed under a big, blue, open dumpster prop held up by a wooden crate. People would go up to the “cheese” and you would shoot the crate, breaking it, causing the dumpster to fall, trapping  the “rats” under it. Think rudimentary box and string trap.)
I just wanted to show it to a few people. No one would have been “trapped” for more than a few seconds. I planned to delete it shortly after; I wasn't going to leave it there.
The problem was that the dumpster prop needs to be unfrozen so that it can fall, which is in violation of the recently added tangent of rule D3 that states every prop must be frozen or constrained to something that is. I had actually built the exact thing before the rule change; I got some good laughs out of people with it.
Now, you may have noticed I said “trying to make” in the first sentence. That's because a foxtrot grabbed the dumpster prop I was using with his grav gun and ran off with it. I and the like 5 other people there began chasing the foxtrot around spawn, all in good fun. I didn’t stop him because everyone was having fun with it; those silly moments are what I find most endearing of the server and I would have hated to put an end to it. Anyway, the relevant part of this is that we and the prop ended up near a base border. A lot of people wanted to be under it. Once inside, they began pushing in the direction of the border, but it never left base. Quex will say this is because he deleted the prop before it could get close, but I was right there watching it. Even if it did, it wouldn’t have caused much trouble. People can’t shoot out of it, and, in fact, it would have been perfectly within the rules for it to leave base if it had some wheels stuck on it.

The point is: I feel like a permanent blacklist is an over-reaction for a loose dumpster prop.

Again, the only part of this that is a violation is purely that the dumpster was unfrozen.
I’ll be honest, I knew about the rule change, but with the “trap” being something that I had done before that was fine, and it just being a harmless gag in base that so many people were having fun with, I wasn’t thinking hard about it, sorry. I’ve been told to contact a head admin if whatever I'm doing is even somewhat questionable, and that's what I've been doing, ask Hollow, but this just seemed beyond innocuous. Again, sorry.
(Sorry if any part of the appeal comes off as slimy; I'm just trying to plead my case. Trying this is basically my only option.)

a perma ban seems a bit much but at the same time its REALLY easy to not do shit like this to force a perma ban

(Posting for funny Quex man because he's not home, but SOMEHOW could still type out this behemoth.)

“The cheese trap was the third offense that made me give the warning as I had been watching, before hand twice a big dumpster that you spawned was pushed towards base borders with the intent of going outside, and with the people pushing it intending to go outside (they said this with voice chat as I was watching) and both times you didn’t even try to pick it up and bring it back, with staff deleting it twice before it could get any closer, not to mention it was textured twice, first dumpster as the yellow crate, second as some weird netting reminiscent of the Krusty Krab, however, the cheese trap is when I dragged you to the sit because you continued to break the prop rules despite staff deleing your other two dumpsters, I was cordial and only gave you a warning as I was following my handbook, however it was not me that gave the perma ENG ULX ban, i believe that was Joe (I was only a TMOD and could not perform any other action but warn)

TLDR: prop abused 2 times before the cheese trap and didn’t even try to stop it even when others were saying they were going to abuse the prop, staff deleted the prop twice and you still continued breaking the rules which had me give you the Warn although it was not me who gave the perm ENG ULX blacklist”

The reason I didn't take the prop away was because they were having fun. They got close to the boarder, but I was watching it. You stopped them before I did. As for intent, I think an EOW said something like "lets base raid with this," but yeah, I do remember some saying to take it out of base. It was all very jokey though. They shouldn't be punished is what I'm saying.
I saw the prop get deleted but I had no idea who did it or why. No one said anything.
Joe said along the lines of, "Quex screwed up and was supposed to blacklist you."

Denied

Fun does not supersede rules, regardless if "everyone was having fun with it." Not only were you aware of the rule change and the how you would be violating it, but you were also previously ULX blacklisted and had your ULX reinstated with the promise that you would closely follow the rules.
