Recent balancing is horrible, all guns that have more pronounced functions all only seem to get worse in the name of balancing. An instance might be the Kam-12 who can barely kill somebody outside of point blank range - it was reduced to this because of its full auto function. The deagle has 63 damage, 8 rounds, 250 rpm, 0 spread, but an insane .9 recoil (???), as a result no-one uses it and it is a meme weapon. The RPD's spread combined with a mobility of 80% make it one of the bipolar and awkward guns to use. The M16 receives high damage and low recoil because of its burst function but is never used by the same people who can get their hands on something like an AK 47, M4a1 or G36c. There are more but that's only part of the point; all of the general purpose guns are just fine!

Vehicles aren't excluded from these 'fatal nerfs'. The hunter chopper had weird handling implemented, it was made more powerful, and then black-hawk was nerfed? Apparently something was done to both APC's that people are unhappy about - and on top of that apparently people believe the Strider and Kodiak are worse now.

I'm not (and I don't think anybody else is) against balancing game play elements but something has clearly gone wrong in the process.

RPD is FINE shots hit here and there pew pew
deagles two main reasons of why its shit is due to recoil animation and hitreg, two things that cant be helped really
and the last thing is the first and most major rule of gun balancing, Burst guns will never be good/balanced

I dont know what kind of RPD you're using but as an LVET Commando i can 100% assure you that the RPD is the jankiest LMG to use
hell even the Thompson can dish out more pain than the RPD (also before you ask shield does not help in the slightest)

that'd kill the point of armor, i think armor should just be insanely expensive/hard to get

Personally I would say 2 Things,
1: The spread past more than 5 meters (even while ADS'd) makes a good chunk of your shots miss entirely thus lowering your DPS & Chances of winning a fight
2: The recoil and your view jumping around randomly during a spray makes it impossible to consistently hit shots thus adding to the struggle of already having to deal with spread
And before anyone goes off on a tangent about Attachment setups let me just say this,
ATTACHMENTS ARE JUST PLACEBO, THEY ONLY MAKE SUCH MINOR DIFFERENCES THAT ITS ALMOST UNNOTICEABLE DURING A FIREFIGHT!

From my short experience with it. The RPD has a ridiculously long reload time. I would bet it's even longer than the M60.

Does it matter? It has like 100 rounds per reload. You won't be reloading mid combat most of the time (And even then I recommend just pulling another weapon instead of reloading)

- Make LMG's have huge damage, huge RPM but high recoil. Using them while walking renders them useless in long to medium range. Implement a bipod to every LMG so stationary LMGs become a thing and actually holding agles (the actual thing LMG should be used for) becomes viable. Also helpfull for FOBs.
- Make SMG good from short to medium range and have less damage but higher RPM
- Make Assault Riffle do the highest damage and are the most acurate of the three. RPM is one of the slowest.
- Shotguns are fine except for the fact at point blank people can have the luck to live with 1-3 HP remaining or just too slow or deal too little damage to scare oponents. This means enemy players can just rush you with the SMG or anything else and destroy you anyways.
