What region/timezone are you located in? Pacific Santandard time. California
Do you have a microphone? Yes, I got one last month.
Previous Warns? The only one that comes to mind is a verbal warning because as an Anarchist I killed an SU in rebel base on main street... he was about to rocket me
Previous Bans? Unless I'm forgetting it, none.
Why do you want to be part of the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences. I like to do different things besides mindlessly running and gunning which is why I became an RF CO and it made me develop a better connection with the server. I want to help the staff team keep peace and provide more availability from staff. By availability I mean I can moderate on low pop hours since by 6pm here, like no staff is present. I also believe it'd allow me to socialize with more people besides just other rebels more often such as combine main staff.
Why should you be accepted on the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences. I believe myself to be a level-headed person that provides neutral point of views. I also offer availability for low pop hours where some minging around does happen. I've also always been a seasonal player since late 2019 under the names: Nelson, Thanatos, Faux, and 0175.
Do you understand that you must have "[DEFN]" tag in your Steam name whenever you join CvR? I'm perfectly fine with that.
Any staff who can vouch for you? Sanders, Antonio, maybe Zyer? Not sure because I didn't really ask so I'm guessing on this.
An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? Wait for any reports to come through. Otherwise, presume it was just crossfire. If a report is submitted then I'd look through logs to get neutral info then pull the civilian into a sit to get their view and later the Union to get theirs. Depending on the reasons, I'd act accordingly but it'd most likely be me teaching the Union as in these cases it's just a new player trying to get used to the game.
An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member? Gather evidence, pull them in a sit, and notify them that defecting is FailRP. I warn them for it, and report the situation to their COs.
You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this? Continue on with the sit and warn them for toxicity. I'd also submit proof of what has been said to their superiors.
A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do? Gather evidence of their threats, snag their steamids, perma ban them(or as long as I can), then report it to my superiors in the staff team as could be serious. I'd also report their steam accounts.
You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do? I'd just record it, and ask them what they are doing. Afterward, I'd either consult the rule book or ask another high-ranking staff member what are they doing by showing them the clip.
