Very recently, a new anarchist formed and legitimized themselves. They are the Global Liberation Army, or GLA for short. But who are they, and what do they want?
I tried to answer these questions by interviewing the very leader of the GLA, Jarmen Kell, himself.

Alright Jarmen. To start:

What are the Goals of the GLA? Who are you and what do you want? Whose side are you on?

The members of the GLA are a strong and proud people who have suffered at the hands of both the Resistance and the Combine.

We are freedom fighters here to liberate the people of this war-torn country and restore peace and prosperity to those who are impacted.

However, as noble as our intentions are, this is still a war. Those who can fight are needed to, not out of a want, but of a necessity to defend those who cannot defend themselves.

The Lambda Resistance has forgotten themselves, trampling over the natural born rights of the people who do not wish to aid them in their fight.

The GLA is simply a means to an end.

An end to suffering under two battling tyrants.

So, your people have been mistreated by the Combine, and the Resistance as well? Could you elaborate on that and explain how? Maybe give some examples.

The Combine cruelty during their occupation of Earth needs no explanation.

They do not see us as equals and humanity is doomed to suffer under their rule.

And while we do fight them as enemies, we are no allies to the Resistance either.

They do not care about those who do not risk life and limb to fight under their command.

Rations are denied to refugees by Combine and Resistance alike, forcing them to scrounge for scraps and morsels of food.

Medical aid is reserved for the soldiers in their rampage, a stray bullet is fatal to those who do not know how to tend to themselves without supplies.

Homes are vacated and destroyed, livelihoods ruined because a uniform needed cover from enemy fire.

False accusations of willingly housing the enemy leads to blood and unjust trials.

This is the fate of the world without the GLA.

You have outlined the views of the GLA and problems they see in the world, but how will your organization go about tackling them? How do you plan to interact with the Rebels and Combine? How exactly will the GLA "liberate the people" and "restore peace and prosperity"?

Through targeted acts of terror we shall spread fear throughout the ranks of both the Combine and the Resistance!

We shall liberate the people through a battle of attrition, utilizing guerrilla tactics and organizing our troops as such.

Acts of terror!? Are you saying the GLA is a terrorist group?

It is a necessary evil in these harrowing times, but yes, that is what both armies view us as.

Will you target civilians? What about those who support the Combine or Resistance, such as the CWU or anarchist groups?

We will not target the civilian populace unless they become a hindrance to our operations in the area.

Our mission is to help save these people, and only should they side with an enemy then actionable force may be considered.

The CWU, while misguided, has the same noble mission; we do not see them as enemies directly.

As for other anarchist groups, we see them as nothing more than those willing to fight for their true freedoms; only should they take up arms against us or our just cause shall the might of the GLA's armies befall them!

What makes the Resistance different? Aren't they simply trying to "fight for their true freedoms" as well? Is their alleged inaction in caring for civilians really deserving of death? Do these crimes outweigh the good they do by fighting Combine?

The Resistance has been fattened by decadence and uses its power to unjustly oppress those beneath them.

Refugees escaping from Combine rule have been mercilessly executed left and right by the resistance for a myriad of reasons, we will not sit idly by and allow this!

In truth? Most are not to blame, the lowest ranking soldiers on both sides are simply misguided individuals struggling, joining their cause for benefits of living.

It is... not a pleasant thought. But if we must choose true freedom or the comfort of our enemies, then we must fight to achieve liberation from the chains that bind.

The people shall do what they believe is right, and so will I.

How big of an effect do you expect the GLA will have? Will you defeat the Combine and Resistance, or just weaken and terrorize them?

We shall fight this bloody battle until our dying breaths!

We shall either emerge victorious amongst those who have done humanity wrong or die as martyrs for the people of this land!

Do you think the GLA will finally put an end to this war?

Through our actions we shall finally know peace once more.

...Even if that peace is death?

All members of the GLA are at peace with ourselves; if our path to freedom must end in death, then we shall do what we must.

Lastly, is there anything you would like to say to our readers---any message for the Rebels, Combine, or the people you fight for?

"The GLA is the path to your liberation."
