Yes, though I have been told I can be somewhat quiet at times.
Previous Warns?
1 previous warn for RDM as a faction anarchist, I had run into Combine base and murdered Alma while trying to escape, had lapsed that killing in base as all was against the rules. Better for it now.
Previous Bans?
No bans as of current, and I plan to keep it that way.
Why do you want to be part of the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences.
I wish to be a part of the staff team due to the fact that oftentimes when I’m on, there are no GM’s or staff on, which can lead to chaotic situations with no-one able to handle them. My second reason has to do with the fact that I wish to provide more than 10 dollars to CvR and be a bit more active in taking care of the server and the community. Finally, my third reason is that I see joining the staff team as a good way to show my responsibility owing to the fact that staff isn’t easy, and I wish to challenge myself to better myself.
Why should you be accepted on the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences.
I see myself as a good fit with the staff team, with experience as server staff for many servers in the past. While being able to be serious and handle duties with professionalism, I also don’t ruin the fun of the game by handing out harsh punishments for small first time offenses, which I would say is the way staff should handle things, with being on the lighter side of punishments for a majority of cases. Finally, with good/neutral relationships with a majority of people on the server I can handle nearly any case as a middle ground without being seen as biased one way or another, being able to be with the higher ups easily, then being able to hand out with the newest players who don’t even know about pressing F4 for the job menu.
Do you understand that you must have "[DEFN]" tag in your Steam name whenever you join CvR?
I understand and have no problem with doing this.
Any staff who can vouch for you?
Bore and Alma are two guys who should be able to vouch for me. I’ve spent quite a bit of time messing around and/or helping with things they need done. (Alma with his forced event participation, damn you.)
An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? I could either wait for a report to be made, which is my preferred option as it allows the situation to be fixed on it’s own, or if arguments are being made in OOC then I can check the logs and bring the civilian to a sit and have their side of the story, and if problems prevail from this, send the civilian back and bring the MPF to have him tell his side. If the civilian is in the wrong, then the matter is over and everyone is back where they are supposed to be. If the MPF did actually just RDM the civilian, then let him off with a verbal warning for trigger discipline. If the problem prevails beyond that, hand out written warnings.
An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member? If it is preordained by a gamemaster, then I leave it be. If not, then I’d have to inform him that doing so is against the rules and take him out of base. If he continues to try and do so, give him a warning and report him to his CO’s so that they can handle him further.
You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this? I’d continue doing my job as staff and inform them that doing so is an abuse of power and could endanger their position as CO, and collect proof just in case they decide to go through with it.. If they actually go through with demoting my character, I would inform an officer above them, be it CmD/Major, or above if need be. Of course, once the sit is over, it isn’t a staff matter and falls under a faction matter unless they actively attempt to hinder future staff actions.
A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do? I would inform staff above me of the threats, record proof, and collect their SteamID’s. I would also kick them from the server as threats like that should be taken seriously due to the implications for the server. If I’m able, I would hand out bans for as long as I believe until staff above me can come and handle the situation or inform me on how to proceed.
You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do? I would double check the rules, and if it turns out to be against the rules, I would ask them about it. If they continue then I’d inform the HA’s, HGM’s, or go to affairs if need be. I’d also make sure to collect proof as word of mouth isn’t good for anybody, let alone for staff affairs.
