What is your suggestion? increase the damage of the grease gun, just a little bit like from 43 to around 45 - 46
How would this benefit the server? the grease gun got left behind with the ttk and armor changes. it was already a bit underpowered damage-wise (compared to everything else) before the changes, but it was still fun and effective because of its mobility. now, it struggles to even get kills. ive mag dumped into people and they survive. all it really needs is a tiny damage boost to be viable again.
-1 Grease Gun doesn't need to be on-par with every high-weight gun on the market because Scav's movement speed and ability to shoot the gun while sprinting are (in combination) how Scav's specialty works. Buffing the Grease Gun would only make a class built around moving fast and being able to use that speed in ways no other class can even more powerful than it already is.
This 2nd bit is definitely a personal opinion so keep that in mind;
I don't particularly enjoy being killed by a scav who moves at 510 HU (fast enough to outrun hitbox) and can shoot while sprinting. I KNOW Scav can reach those speeds cuz I tested it. Buffing the Grease Gun would only make that more annoying.

i agree completely, thats how it was before the damage changes. im not asking for a massive buff to make it like an assault rifle, that would be ridiculous. the grease gun now is just weak enough to not be enjoyable to use. imo it should be a little underpowered, but as of now its too underpowered. srsly like 2 extra points of damage would be enough to bring it back to where it was before.
as for the second thing, nobody likes dying. rushing with hipfire might be annoying but its not actually that effective even before the damage changes, and is usually a last resort. i die just as often as i get kills doing that.

if you need damage perks to make a gun viable, then its underpowered.

Sure it takes a long time to kill pretty much anything but like, everything does anyway
