You were not just overall toxic and disrespectful throughout the entire sit with various interruptions. You also brought in a false witness who stated that he was just there to back you up and that there was no weight to his claims, just trying to be a good friend. The other man or the victim in question allowed you to speak, waited his turn, you did not share that same courtesy. You see a civilian crossing a street and you shoot them. They stop. You ask "what are you doing?"
The civilian answers "Just running around, why'd you shoot me". You say "It was crossfire" before you proceeded to gun the civilian down and run off. No Combine in sight, no further gunfire or conflict, you just walk away with a few other rebels.
You get pulled into a sit about it with both sides having witnesses. The staff listens to both parties and you realize the staff member doesn't fully trust your side of the story, given the circumstances. You realize you're losing the sit. All of a sudden the "crossfire incident" happened in a whole different area with a "rebel jeep that you thought was Combine" with more Combine around and I almost forgot - the civilian came from where the Combine were. You were "shooting at the jeep and then the civilian" because you thought that civilian was a Combine.
Now that doesn't explain why you killed the civilian after the initial few shots you landed on him. You had well enough time to identify the target as you had a short conversation with them (refer to the first paragraph). No real threat was present as indeed the jeep you saw was friendly and there was no hostiles in the area, since the only shots fired during or after the incident were the ones that first damaged and then finished off the civilian.
Why are you so eager to play on the server if you can't follow its rules or show basic levels respect to its players?
It's a 1-day ban for crying out loud. You clearly needed a break and you should use the rest of the time left on your ban to read the rules or more preferably; find another server.
