What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
I want to create events that are designed to test more than just a player's skill at shooting things, more akin to social experiments perhaps

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
No I don't believe so

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
I've grown to really understand any reason of negative feedback, constructive criticism I welcome as it usually leads me to do better in supporting my foundation of ideas and future concepts. Borderline harassment isn't anything new to me, the best method for me is letting the guy just wear himself out while I laugh at the seemingly overblown outrage, unless of course he claims that there was a serious flaw, then I'll listen. Even in seemingly unreasonable complaining, there can be truth in their reasons for doing so, I'll try to respectfully remind him that the event doesn't have a drastic change on the server, and then I'll ask him more about what he views as a flaw that has lead him to see it as just to be very vocal about it

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
Well, I would gauge how important this event will be to the players. If it's generally more of a player fueled event, where they will be doing most of the work whilst GM kinda just monitors, I can possibly cut down the amount of points of interest that I would need to oversee. I can more simply recruit another GM in the off chance that there is one online who does feel like helping me out, but I believe it would be more rocky as I would have an aide that is not very up to date on how things may go, and given the short time-span before it starts, I may have to inform him on the fly for certain aspects. If I'm doing one where I'm more of putting on a show throughout the whole thing, I don't think it is reasonable for me to pull off something like that on my own in any way possible. And I believe that a sudden replacement GM would not fair much better, generally I would want to retain as much quality as possible.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
I immediately notify Sentinel and apologize profusely and then explain how I used the NPCs in a way that resulted in a server crash, if I had background recording on I would get as much as I could captured and forward it to him. I would then forward my mistake, and steps leading to it, to fellow GMs so they also don't accidentally do that. In the future I would relegate all NPC testing to either dev server (with permission) or ask Sentinel all the NPCs that can be found on WS so I can get a rough idea on their operation outside of CvR

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
Seeing that I myself am a CO, I could simply get on CO whitelist if I wasn't already and just give it to the recruit.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
I would notify those nearby of the now destroyed console that the door is now malfunctioning without it, which means that I control when the door opens and closes, making entry and exit through the doorway harder to do, which also makes it harder to defend that doorway. I also green-light the door for player destruction due to the destruction of the console, adding more difficulty in controlling that zone, whilst also adding that both are irreplaceable (so that either side cannot build their own doors there if they desired to)

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
Personally, I would make it so the remainder of the deserting side who are still on the field have an easier time of completing their objectives. After the winning side (which should be the ones that didn't have a majority desert) gets to reap the rewards, I award those who stuck around on the losing side and thats it. Afterwards I personally message the guy who was able to pull that stunt off and ask for what was his reason that ended up in that situation. I also ask for feedback in an open channel, looking for those who were on the deserting side. If this event were to also fall under Rule A10, then I would notify HGM and staff of this individual for his far-reaching obstruction

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
I ask the CO to hold their roll, as I'll be most likely finished in a minute or so. I would then ask the whole DB if I should leave out reward process, and if they agree then I'll skip that process and let the CO do his thing.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
Outside events:
Whitelisting trained RCTs, coloring vehicles, CWU scanners/general help, getting people unstuck if no staff, scrapping vehicles and giving RES to the respective side that called for it, and infil tickets. I think this is generally all of them
Inside events:
Using whitelists for the event if needed, NPCs, vehicles, headcrab canisters, props, signs, toolgun, pills, etc. Obviously some of these will not be available to me out of the box

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
I notify both sides that I will allow them to use the vehicles for setup, but a few minutes before event starts that they have to go for the sake of the server. I also make sure to state that vehicles will not be allowed for the event.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
First thing first is making sure I understand the main idea of the concept of the event.
Second is exploring if I would enjoy the event if I just want to shoot people, or if the event really gets in the way of that goal of just shooting people. If it gets in the way of either then I retune it to do less obstruction of that aspect of the server if I find it worthy of doing so.
Third is getting a second/third/fifth opinion from people I respect and view as credible.
Fourth is going back to the first and second step and viewing them under the outside views I was given.
Fifth is me feeling that the event has been refined enough to a point that I think any more improvements wouldn't affect the core concepts, leading to me announcing it for a future date (if its really important) or just hosting it the day after I'm done finalizing it

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1. This event (and possible campaign) is very self centered in a way, as it revolves around an insane characterization of my Scav CPT Ibonar. He has effectively fallen to schizophrenia (specifically that of the tulpa kind) and other delusions. For the starting event, the server is sent to the map Pripyat, as the Scav division has been tasked to assist Ibonar on a "grocery run" which in reality is fetching a piece of unnaturally nuclear meat that is essential in the development of cheap nuclear weaponry. This aspect of it has lead to both Rebels and Combine scrambling all over the map to locate this piece of meat, unaware of Ibonar's own motives.
If rebels as a whole are able to get it back to base, Engineers are allowed to reinforce all points of entry into the base, mace are not allowed to infil into the base whilst invisible as the radioactiveness of the meat interferes with their cloak significantly if it stays in one area for too long. Combine are allowed to enact a base raid if it is confirmed that rebels do infact have the piece of meat. Ibonar would then proceed to command all Scav present to bring the piece of meat to him so that he may, "get it ready for dinner". It is expected that there is inner strife within the faction as a whole since Rebels will want to study and weaponize it whilst Scav must obey Ibonar's orders. TK is heavily discouraged but there is a realistic chance for things to reach such a point, most likely with Ibonar initiating it. There will be a kitchen area only accessible to Ibonar once he secures it by any means possible, leaving many of the onlookers helpless as he makes the kitchen viewable but unenterable (or shootable). Those viewing will witness Ibonar conduct very questionable food prep and cooking, whilst they themselves have a limited view of the actual kitchen itself. Once Ibonar is seen pouring food out in two bowls, he looks at the viewers and ask them to please excuse him whilst he covers up the viewing window. There will be an audible, one sided, conversation between himself and an unknown entity. Shortly after it would be expressed by Ibonar that this unknown entity is leaving so early, and then an explosion is heard, as Ibonar says his goodbyes to the entity.
If the combine are to be confirmed to have the piece of meat, Ibonar is to start chimping out at this news, and urge for an immidiate base raid, which is to be allowed. Combine meanwhile are to hold it at the helipad for the base in order to airlift it to a more suitable area for R&D. The transport is destined to come for retrieval in 5 minutes. Rebels are allowed to respawn to do countless waves against the Combine base. If rebels are successful then events will proceed into Ibonar dinner scene. If Combine are able to get it out of the base and onto the air transport, its considered a Combine win and remaining Rebels are to flee or get killed. Ibonar at post event DB is to display unhinged behavior at this loss, which results in him hitting several CO's with his crowbar until he is cuffed or shot down.

2. For this event, a representitive of every class that contains a gravity gun (preferably CO's of each respective division) have all fallen under an agreement to monetize the flow of RES for their own gain, resulting in every grav gun class online being commanded to bring all Command RES to their location for guarding and selling. Wandering enlisted of each division are to prevent destruction of Logistic caches and theft of Command RES that isn't one of their fellow grav gun classes. These fetchers are to be KOS due to their actions, but is ultimately up to their respective factions. Meanwhile the marketplace that holds these representitives will be selling Command RES objectives at 15k a piece in a shack that can be damaged by players. GMs are to keep track of remaining Command RES in their possession before the server resets them for a new wave. The amount they're supposed to have is attributed to an object resembling a stash that represents the backlog of RES in their possession. When either faction gets fed up with dealing with these guys, this stash will remain for both to fight over to make up RES lost to the group's activities.

3.
This event is a simple one in concept, a Taxi Company is started to help transport anyone in need of such. Vehicle classes and civilians (+ anarchists) are eligable to be hired by the CEO (who is a GM). They will be periodically called back to the company building for their wages, which will be comically small. Employees are at risk of being fired if they are continously being criticized in OOC for poor driving or killing people on the road. If they somehow get their taxi cab destroyed and it is reported, they are immidiately fired. The CEO meanwhile is trying his best to negotiate with both factions to remove any targeting on any of his cabs.

How often do you think GMs should host events?
At least twice a month

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.
