This has been addressed before, so I'll let you know what's happening.
The way Floaty works, the second jump is lead by wherever your camera is facing. With thirdperson enabled, your camera is, by default, to the right and backwards, but angled slightly inwards to have your crosshair line up with wherever you plan to look. It's just how it works, and a fix likely isn't going to happen due to how small of a bug it is.
