Like all combine stories it began with MPF UNION, i was known as "0912" at the time, managed to rise through the ranks pretty fast and steadily.
My first proper sub-division was MPF RAZOR, led by CmD Hammerfall at the time... Was pretty neat at the time, allways enjoyed shotgunning the enemy to hell.
Then Hammerfall went for MACE, and i followed.
I wanted to progress, so what did i do? Well i joined OTA ECHO of course, the perfect stepping stone into transhumanist divsions and sub-divisions at the time.
And then i went for NPU, i thought it would be a good way to up my career, joined their NPU JAILOR sub-division.
Since NPU JAILOR had absolutely horrible weaponry and because it was dead 99% of the time, i went and transferred over to NPU RIOT.
That's where i stayed for a while, became the OfC III of it at one point, finally got a callsign instead of some numbers, "Vodka" was how i was known at the time.
Things became boring, boring indeed.
Things felt stagnating, the CmD of RIOT at the time, which funnily enough somehow came back to the CmD spot of RIOT, was inactive at the time of my Duty.
After failing an activity check the CmD position was open.
I got some nice OfC's with me though, Dave came and went, Rauber was pretty nice but eventually left, got a new lad which had a character in RUE called Neptune.
Eventually came down to Neptune, Me, and some former Cross guy that is still around but i can't quite remember his name at the time.
Neptune was selected by NPU DvL Iron at the time to become the new NPU RIOT CmD, i asked way later after some time whatever made him choose Orion instead of me, only answer i got is that he couldn't remember why.
After that Neptune demoted me from OfC III and i became OfC II, that Cross guy who was still with us became the OfC III of RIOT.
After feeling down and having finished my work in RIOT i wanted a change of things, and where did i go to? RANGER.
Joining RANGER was okay, though it felt a bit bad to leave the NPU lads.
After some work in RANGER i got a high enough rank for a new callsign, named myself "Tequila".
Well can you tell yet that i'm not very imaginative with my callsigns?
Eitherway i managed to crawl my way upwards into becoming OfC II of RANGER.
But it turned pretty boring, i started getting bored of my service and wanted to focus on other things, felt like i couldn't do my CO duties properly at the time.
Solution? I CK'd myself and didn't focus on fighting within the Combine forces for a while, it was an okay little downtime and i still went to fight with the Combine from time-to-time but i wasn't exactly focused on it.
Decided to come back after some time, i enjoyed doing the things that i did and now the Combine fight was back on my mind.
I came back as "0912" again, just like the beginning i started with MPF UNION.
OVA KILO tryouts? Now THAT sounds neat.
After answering a few questions i managed to get into OVA KILO, and my rise through the ranks was not very fast but steady enough for my liking.
Eventually joined Antlion Squad, pretty useful to deploy when CO's are not on or when the CO's have their hearing broken.
Eventually i became the leader of Antlion Squad and became a OVA KILO CO.
Managed to get towards OfC II, and as of writing this that's where i am currently.
Antlion Squad got dissolved and replaced with Emergency Response Team, it's going mostly fine but still a bit rough around the edges.
And this is where i'm sitting at currently, having nearly a years worth of history playing on this server and enjoying every little part of it, being a Moderator and OfC II of KILO is a pretty fine place to put yourself i'll admit.
A few names that i remember which i'd like to thank for being with me along the long journey on this server.
Hammerfall, i'm pretty sure you probably hate me by now with how i constantly annoy you but i genuinely enjoyed fighting by your side.
Former NPU DvL Iron (A.K.A Iron/Shegorath), you are a great lad and i genuinely hope life will continue to go well in your future.
Destitute, admittedly we didn't converse very often at the start but i still think you're pretty great and i loved hearing your rants, your writing keeps me intrested and i hope you continue your life well.
