What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
CWU Activities, Bigger Proplimit, Wiremod and I can make the server more fun.
Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
I've been a GM on several SCP:RP servers and I did.... A pretty good job, kind of, they got pissed off at me for doing too many mini-events and canned my ass. But I think mini-events just enhances the players experience without making everyone participate in it. Like a side-quest.
Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
If it's constructive then take it into consideration, if it's blatant harassment or insults then I'll let a staff member take care of it.
While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
Delay the event and make a mini-event instead until they're available, if they wont be available in a timely matter then I'll get another GM to assist me.
While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
Contact the server owner or a developer to inform them that the server has crashed and it needs a fast reboot.
An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
DM a staff if I have permission to promote that person.
While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
Have the door open when the computer is destroyed due to an electrical malfunction, or if I came prepared I would've had a vent for a side entrance.
While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
Make a server wide vote, if more people want to participate than people who don't then force the event to happen, if everyone hates it then I probably wont do it. But if it's just that one team, then I'll fuckin' uh.... Send a giant asteroid to their HQ that kills everyone in a Michael Bay style, because fuck them. (XD Not really)
After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
Tell their impatient ass to wait for a few minutes because debriefs don't take that long and he can wait.
What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
Passive building for RP, wiremod, announcing events, RP Modding CWU/Civilian/Anarchist activities, answering peoples questions, ULX commands.
While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
Tell everyone to not deploy vehicles and wait until those vehicles are destroyed to continue with the event.
Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
Work on the draft in Sandbox, do some wiremod coding if required, have a higher ranking individual review my event to make sure everything's looking good, then queue the event.
Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.
1. Anarchist Bootleggers (Mini Event)- Some civilians/anarchists are brewing a special concoction on some little shack on the outskirts and they need some ingredients to brew it, but these ingredients are hard to get. They need two liters of headcrab blood, a two pounds of red phosphorus and combine jet fuel. The finished product is something they call SHIMBOG, it's properties are being able to burn for a week, and drinking it will get you fucked up and will probably kill you.
2. Personality Core (Lore Event) - A "drunk" personality cube from Aperture Science falls from the sky like a meteor, presumably from space. It's incredibly broken, and needs some costly repairs to get it working again. Once it starts working, it can be used to control certain machinery if it has the proper electronics, such as CPU. This personality core will permanently go into whoever's factions inventory.
3. Resource Pile (Mini Event) - A pile of twenty crates will be piled up in the most middle site, each crate will equal 500 resources and will be indestructible. In total, it's 10,000 resources.
How often do you think GMs should host events?
A mini-event once or twice a day, these wont effect gameplay too much, they're more like side quests. And a server wide event every... one to two weeks.
Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules. Yes
~1 (Neutral)
The events are sound and your lax attitude is interesting. Though it is concerning how you described your joke for when your server-wide event is throttled by a CmD/MAJ.
Overall, not too bad.
Though, im not feeling any strong opinions about this application.
