What is your current in game level? 99

Discord Username: Consuela5602

Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:439754500

What region/timezone are you located in? England/GMT

Do you have a microphone? Yes

Previous warns or bans? Yes, I've got one for OOC nuisance from the 4th of April

Why do you want to be a Gamemaster? I've been considering it for quite a while and have thought of a handful of event ideas. Some that fit the atmosphere of the server and contain RP and others for a break of regular CvR gameplay with something fun.

Have you ever been Event Staff/Gamemaster or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions and describe something notable you did in those positions. No

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment. If it were genuine constructive criticism I'd take the effort to note down what people liked/disliked about the event so that players could have a better experience next time if a similar event were to be hosted in the future. However if it were to become borderline harassment I wouldn't react/reply since replying would just add fuel to the fire and could spark an argument in ooc, which is something we don't want. I'd also get screenshots of this and send it to their CO's/Higher ups.

While planning a server-wide event, you had another Gamemaster assisting you. Unfortunately, 5 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed? I'd see if there's any GM's online willing to help out. If none are willing to/none are online, if the event was a minor one I could scale down some of the features of it allowing me to do it solo. If it were a larger one I'd postpone it to another date and explain why.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react? Immediately let sentinel know about the server crash. What was happening before the crash, when it happened and what may have caused it (in this case, NPC's).

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react? I'd let the CO go on with their plan of destroying the computer. When the computer is destroyed It would then cause a malfunction in the door system causing it to open to allow the event to progress.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation? First I'd start taking screenshots/clips of the MJR/CMD actively doing this since this isn't appropriate MJR/CMD behavior to then send to their COL/DVL. After enough evidence is obtained I'd give the opposing side who aren't affected the option to switch to the other side allowing the event to continue. Next to get players from the side being affected by the MJR/CMD I'd add in promises of credit and scrap rewards at the end of the event to those who continued/joined back into the event.

While you are hosting an event, you notice that the server starts to lag dramatically. What do you do? Immediately send out a message for vehicles to un-deploy.  I'd put out another message directed towards those who have built (Engineers, GRID, CWU, etc) to remove unused props such as old fortifications no longer being used, un-needed text screens or cosmetic props that aren't required such as graffiti, tables, chairs, watermelons, etc.

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is greatly appreciated.

1. A deathmatch event, mainly to give players a break from normal CvR gameplay with something fun. People who want to participate will need to get on RES fighter or MPF union and put [DEATHMATCH] by their name to show they're participating. A map could be made out of props or use unused parts of the current map (such as part of combine base in city16). Supplies respawners and combine forcefields from campaign entities will be used to add some more spice to gameplay and a way for people to heal/regen armour quickly to avoid getting cleaned. Players can vote on what type of "gamemode" they can play such as teams (Rebels v Combine) or FFA (Free for all). If FFA was voted for I'd take note of both sides resource counter so after the event I can give both combine and rebels their resources back lost from TK'ing each other in the deathmatch event. How you win is simple, be the last team or man standing. For later rounds I could allow light vehicles such as hunters and shermans to be deployed.

2. A combine base raid. The combine base will have a reactor core placed inside deep into their base (Will take part on City13 since combine base on that map is quite large). Rebels will need to raid the combine base in an attempt to overload the reactor core causing it to explode. Vehicles wont be allowed and combine will be given 10 minutes to prepare and allow GRID to get fortifications up. However because their HQ is where they also spawn combine fortifications must have 2 entrances and can only have 1 FOB down in their HQ at all times. Pushback will have a 3 minute respawn cooldown (after they respawn, they must wait 3mins in their spawn before they can leave). Pushbacks may or may not be able to deploy depending on numbers of each side/if a sides getting beaten too hard. Some sections will be blocked off by combine forcefields from campaign entities and may need rebels to solve a puzzle to get it open such as using a gravity gun to pull the plug on the forcefield from afar or outright detonating the technology on the sides creating the forcefield with dynamite. In order to overload the reactor the rebels must hold the reactor room for 5 minutes total. There will be a lever connected to an orange light then rebels must turn on to show that they've gained control and allow the timer to start. Once rebels have gotten control of the reactor room combine will be allowed to deploy light vehicles in a desperate attempt to regain control. If rebels hold the room for 5 minutes they'll need to exfill the combine base either dead or alive. After 2 minutes a rebel victory will be announced. However if combine Are able to stop rebels from controlling the reactor room for more than 5 minutes for at least 30 minutes a combine victory will be announced.

3. An event mainly for Low-pop to keep players on. (Inspired by an event I participated in a good few months ago) It'll be announced by combine receiving a message that shells containing combine armoury of different sub-divisions will be landing shortly around the area (Such as CROSS armoury, SWORD, SHIELD and 1 OSS well hidden). These would be looted by "@ Loot" . Unfortunately the message wasn't encrypted and was accidently sent to the rebellion as well. This doesn't replace normal CvR gameplay but adds something else for players to look for and play around with. Could also be used to show new players the armoury of different combine sub-divisions. This isn't meant to be something big, something small that adds onto normal gameplay.

Do you understand the basics of using ULX and how to build in gmod? Yes. However am not perfect and I may take a good minute or 2 to get things built.

I've edited this post in 22/11/2024 so some extra info has been added.
