Why do you want to be part of the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences.
I feel at home in the CvR community and want to give something back. Especially since the recent updates have brought a high influx of players, I feel as thoughthe server can use additional help and I am ready to be of assistance. I have been motivated to join through the actions of Venom, Hollow and other staff members. To conclude, my deep passion for CvR and DEFN leaves me urging to assist the staff team and the server as a whole.
Any staff who can vouch for you?
Hollow and Venom.
An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do?
If the Civilian does not report the kill or complain any further, I will leave it be and assume it as an allowed kill. Should the Civilian open a ticket, I will ask the Union as to why they have killed the Civilian and talk to both parties involved. Should the kill have been intentional, I will inform the Union that civilian killing is not allowed without a valid reason. Should he continue to kill civilians after that, I will issue a warning to the Union.
Somebody had made a ticket saying they passed Sniper applications and that they need it’s whitelist, how would you proceed?
I will quickly check the subdivision-change on the rebel discord and see if it has been logged. If it has not been logged, I will ask a sniper CO for confirmation. I will hand out the whitelist on confirmation or ask him to wait until it is logged if I get no response.
An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member?
In general, RP defect would be FailRP. In the last community meeting, it was brought to my attention that RP defecting might be allowed now, although it will most likely result in the CK of the character involved and might not be successful. Since I am unsure on how this actually plays out, I would ask another staff member who is more knowledgeable on this topic to assist me.
A ticket alleging spawn-camp has been made, and the offending party is a member of cross who was found inside rebel spawn borders, what is the correct course of action?
I would first bring the cross to a sit and talk with him about what happened. I would check if the cross has entered the base to scout, since cross are able to scout. If the cross has validly scouted the base and not killed anyone inside the rebel base, they have done nothing wrong. If they have killed within base borders, they would have broken the rules and I would let them know that this should not happen again, since cross cannot use self-defense inside the Rebel base either, only after leaving it.
You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this?
I would first record all evidence of this occurring and then ask another staff member to assist me in this sit to handle it correctly. Of course, I would not let my judgement sway from any threats.
A Grid has created a ball that he has encased himself in and is propelling himself forward using the gravity gun, is this breaking any rules?
That depends on if the ball is causing any lag and if it can be counted as a prop vehicle or not. If it follows the guidelines of rule D9, it may be allowed. If not, I ask the Grid to remove the ball.
A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do?
A group of players doing this qualifies as server raiding under rule A5. I would let the staff team know about this occurrence and issue a punishment to the group of players as fit for this case.
You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do?
I would ask a staff member that has a higher rank than the one in question whether or not this is allowed, or management if there are no higher ranked staff members available.
Out of nowhere a random set of numbers resembling an IP has been typed by an NCO has been typed into OOC, what is the correct course of action?
I would ask the NCO in question about what this message is about. It might be the IP of a player or a server, etc. – if the NCO keeps posting the numbers into OOC without any explanation, I will punish them accordingly.
