What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
I really want to show off my creative side since I have been getting loads of event ideas small and big, most would be inspiration of different media but in my own interpretation. Moreover continue to activate my creative side of the brain as to see what can I come up with especially Half-Life related

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
I haven't been an event staff before but I have heard the behind scenes a few times and watched from the side so I kinda know?

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
For constructive criticism I would take it into account and try to improve based upon it, but for harassment I'll just ignore it

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
I quickly notify other GM's who are online to help me out and delay the event 10-15 minutes max, if Noone responds in that time I try to handle the event with my full focus

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
I would calmly notify Sentinel about the server crash and apologise to the players for the crash as it was testing the gm tools

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
I notify staff to get and check the logs and probably give the WL

But in my case since I'm already staff, I follow standard staff protocol for it

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
I go to the CO and tell them that the door is required to be openable during the event and tell the others to not destroy the computer

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
I go toward the CmD/MAJ and ask them what is the problem and why they dislike it, if it's a problem of one side getting the upper hand I will try to give the disliking team to approach the event the other way around to temporarily gain the advantage

If it's simply that they don't like it, then I will ask other GM's for the next step in what to do

If none above works, I cancel the event for another time and resolve the problem OOC

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
I tell them to patiently wait as I would try to hurry it up in the process but not rush it too much

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
Inside their events they have authority over the event and its actions and can put restrictions on gameplay (e.g. "no handpicked allowed for this event").

Outside of events, they can add elements of RP as long as it does not disrupt gameplay (basically what Trusted can do).

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
I will ask them to u deploy and scrap the vehicles as it causing performance issues

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
Firstly I will brainstorm idea to see how good and appropriate with the current flow of the gameplay could fit the event. Second I will try to acquire assistance from other GM's (if possible) and test it in singleplayer on the map we think fits (2-3 maps) and figure out the positions of the event area as to not give one faction a significant advantage over the other, once the testing is done write down the conclusions of the practical testing. After the event is finalized, I schedule the event ahead of time to notify both factions about the upcoming event.

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1. Combine Prototype Fabricator: the Combine have been developing a prototype fabricator that can craft desired resources and equipment in mass, however it would require a lot of juice in which the portable dark energy reactor will be deployed along with it, but it creates a lot of noise and takes time to warm up the generator. The rebels have been spying on the recent activity and plan to strike the opportunity to create equipment to gain the upper hand on the Combine and due to its importance to the Combine they are on high alert as well.

The fabricator can craft armor and weapons in mass, each fabrication takes 5 minutes and will give out 5 units of armor/weapons, this will however take fractional resources upon each request to fabricate, the timer can be paused by turning off the generator, turning the generator on will take a minute to get the timer continued, the generator can be jammed 3 times before it's destroyed, the jamming will also malfunction the fabricator, causing it to refund 50% the resources and reset the timer, once the generator is destroyed the fabricator is unable to operate and event is over

Both factions can try to upgrade the fabricator for a higher resource cost and it will take 2 minutes to upgrade, it will require a grid unit or an engineer to be present at the fabricator to be completed, once the upgrade is done, the fabricator's timer is reduced to 3 minutes and makes 8 units of armor/ weapons. The upgrade also allows to augment a single unit instead of fabricating equipment, it will take 5 minutes (the fabricator must be upgraded to do this). Once completed, the unit will be given 10x more health and given the minigun Or the RAAL MG (this depends on the unit that was inserted, if it's a light class like recon inserted, the RAAL mg is given)

The fabricator has a chance to also malfunction by itself, needing a grid or engineer to fix it, while it's malfunctioned, the timer is paused, and once fixed the timer is unpaused, the upgraded version has less chances but fixing it will take longer

The event will end once 25 fabrication request have been completed, which st that point the fabricator starts to meltdown due to overuse, this also short circuits the generator and in 45 seconds create a wide explosion, killing anyone in the vicinity, which would conclude the event.

2. Rebel shipment Convoy: the Rebels have been having a scheduled shipment run late and due to it having to take shortcuts it will be on the field try to refuel and restock and rebels have deployed security to accompany it. The Combine Scanners have detected the convoy and alerted local Civil Protection and Overwatch to stay alert of malignant activity

The convoy and the event will have 3 stages

The first is arrival of the convoy with armored vehicles front and behind to protect it, at this time rebels will have time to prepare to guard it and have potential refuel locations notified to the CO's, while the Combine have constant recon on the convoy thanks to scanners in the sky, CWU and Foxtrot can deploy additional recon to keep track of it

During this time the convoy is always on the move and the Combine can try to hijack the convoy and take it to the base before the gas runs out.

Second stage is the refueling stop, the convoy will head at one of the random stops and refuel over there, the refueling takes 5 minutes, during that time combine can steal the convoy's shipment and take it to their own base if possible, if all of the shipment is stolen, the event is over.

Third stage is now just hauling ass to rebel base without getting the convoy destroyed, the Combine are allowed to deploy Synths at the last minute of the refuel to prepare for the final push and are allowed to destroy the convoy, the option for hijacking it is still there, if the convoy reaches the base or it's destroyed, the event is over. (note that the convoy must have at least 3 shipments to deliver for it to be successful for the rebels)
Another note that both factions can deploy all transports at all times, this is supposed to be a vehicle based event, so combine can halt and stop the convoy to steal its content, and rebels can replace the convoy with another truck but only once during the event (that is if they manage to get the shipment on the other truck)

3. Satellite crash: The Combine had a link with the Black Mesa satellite that was launched during the Black Mesa Incident for some time now, but recently lost the connection to it and have detected that it's rapidly approaching Earth and going to crash land on Sector 61, however the Rebels have planned this from the start as they had the link with the satellite as well

The satellite will land around the center of the map and it's most valuable parts are it's databanks, which both sides would use for the local teleportation technology.
Both sides have to secure the satellite and scan its integrity first (King of the Hill style) and requires either a Grid or Cross /Recon or Engineer for the scanner (and the timer) to go, grid and engineers are allowed to build around the satellite, each timer will last 5 minutes.

Once either of the timers is finished, a grid/engine is required to pull out the databanks and bring them back to base for analysis, each databank piece will take a minute to take out with 6 pieces in total (each giving 10000 resources) additional scraps can be pulled out for bonus resources but that is optional (resource reward varies per scrap)

Whoever has the more than half of the databanks is considered to winner of the event.

If it's a tie, the tiebreaker will be who deposited the most scrap (if any have been collected), if none were collected or both sides have the same bonus amount, then it will stay as a tie.

Note that no handpicks or vehicles (except transports) are allowed for this event, reasons is cuz the satellite is at low integrity upon crash landing so it must be carefully done to not damage the databanks.

How often do you think GMs should host events?
Usually once a week, twice if there is a lot of activity in the recent days

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.
I solemnly swear and will abide by these rules.

Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.

I am a moderator now so I have some basic knowledge, plus I messed around with them in singleplayer too
