What is your suggestion? A: Add some sort of bot that sends out a ping for a role that you can opt-in for to alert people of a map change
How would this benefit the server? A: If people get the ping that the server is changing to their favorite map, they might be more likely to join the server. Some people don't think to always be checking the bot to see which map it's on, so it could increase server engagement. You could also go more in depth with it and make a ping for each individual map. I could also see how this could have the inverse effect of making people less likely to join until their favorite map is live, but I doubt that would happen too often.
I think this concept is counterproductive to the whole concept of a map cycle, which is meant to be a wide variety of maps for all to enjoy. Obviously some are liked more than others, but the entire idea is that you tolerate the maps you don't like very much, in order to progress to the ones you do.
