I want to be part of the staff team because i've seen that the server needs more moderation, as there is usually some chaos and failRP happening. Also there's more severe rule breakers that usually take some time to get punished even if they were openly breaking the rules in front of everyones. I also think i could become a more known and respected member of the community, which would be great because this community is overall pretty chill and cool to be a part of. Why should you be accepted on the staff team? In terms of experience moderating, i don't have much, and don't really know too much about moderating apart from bare basics. But i think that since this server will be my first experience moderating, it'll be a good environment to learn all about being a good moderator and train my moderating skills. I also think that the server needs more staff presence, and anybody no matter how little they knew about moderating, should be given a chance to help if they prove to be trustworthy and honest. Do you understand that you must have "[DEFN]" tag in your Steam name whenever you join CvR? Yes, i do understand and accept this term. Any staff who can vouch for you? no An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? I TP them separatelly and ask each one to tell me their side of the story, and then compare the stories to see if they match. If i found differences between the two stories, i would check the logs and see if the civilian did anything to deserve getting shot. If the MPF had a valid reason i would let them go, but if it was RDM, i would warn the UNION, or if they were a new player i would just give them a verbal and tell them that if they repeated such behavior, they would be punished appropiatelly. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member? I explain to them that "RP defect" is not a valid action, and therefore not a reason to enter combine base. I inform them that if they want to play combine they can become a combine recruit and get trained like a normal recruit. I then would warn them for failRP, or if i notice that they are too new to know better, just give them a verbal and let them go. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this? I would first tell them that a sit is an OOC situation, meaning that they can not threaten with IC retaliation, and then proceed with the sit. If they insisted on bringing up the threat i would warn for metagaming, and failRP, since as a CO they should know better. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do? I would get proof of that, and then ban them. I would then forward the proof to higher ranking staff members to handle it, since DDOS threats and raids are not a laughing matter and should be taken seriously. You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.

If there wasn't i would still get proof, but instead of openly accusing them, i would privatelly ask a higher staff member if that was allowed, and let them handle the situation.
