Must be at least 3 sentences. I think i should be part of the servers staff team because i've been a member of this communitty for around 1 and a half years or so, so i think i have a decent history in the server even tho nobody in the communitty really knows me. I've been mostly just playing in the server all this time, sometimes switching divisions, sometimes CK'ing characters, hence why i never got past enlisted ranks, but i really like this server and it's communitty (For the most part)
And i do lack previous administrative experience, but everyone's got to start somewhere, and i think i know this communitty well enough to try here. Why should you be accepted on the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences. As i've previously mentioned, i don't have any previous experience, but i'm a fast learner and i do think i would be a decent admin once i get to know the commands and get past the learning stage.
I also believe that this server's staff team is far more friendly and understanding than in any other servers i've been in.
In Conclusion, i love the communitty, i love the server, and i think i would be a good addition to the staff team, since i am friendly and patient, and i'd try not to be annoying to my higher ups whilst i learn the ways of being a staff member. Do you understand that you must have "[DEFN]" tag in your Steam name whenever you join CvR? Yes i do understand this. Any staff who can vouch for you? None really know me, i'm mostly just an average player. An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? I go to the civilian and ask them to please explain what happened, and i note their side of the story, i then go to the UNION separatelly and ask them, and then compare the stories, if they don't match, i'd check logs and find out what happened, and if the UNION can explain why they killed the civilian and it is a valid reason, i'd let them go. But if it was RDM, i would ask the civilian if they'd like for the UNION to be punished accordingly, and if they did i'd give the union a warm. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member? I teleport the HECU and ask them what they are doing, and ask them if they knew that this was not a valid RP action. If they are an experienced player, i'd warn them for FailRP, but if they were a new player i would give them a verbal warning and let them go. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this? I try to explain to the CO that this is an OOC situation, and they can't threaten with IC demotions or blacklists, since that would be Meta Gaming. I would then continue with the sit. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do? I would gather proof and screenshot/Record the situation, and ban them for as long as i am able to. Then i would take the screenshot/Video/ Proof to higher level staff and tell them about the situation, and let them handle it accordingly. You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do? I first try to get some proof either as screenshots or videos, and ask them what they're doing. I would then check the MOTD and see if what they're doing is allowed or not. If it's not i would forward the proof to someone with a higher rank than the abusing staff member, and let them check if it was indeed against the rules.
If this gets rejected it's okay, i'll continue to play as i've been doing, and hopefully one day i can make a succesfull app, Have a good day/Night/Afternoon
If possible I would like to see warns, one more thing to note is that your wouldn't really ask the Civ if they want the union to be punished or not, due to bias opinions. In any case
