List all (if any) previous punishments (Warns/Bans)

I have a staff disrespect warn, I called coach/round eric the r-word out of frustration in 2019 when he mistakingly warned/punished me instead of the actual offender, the mistaken warns/punishments were reversed but the staff disrespect warn stayed.

What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?

I enjoy playing CVR and like to see cool events happen but I find that when the player count starts to fall gameplay tends to get a bit stale, so in addition to cool normal events i'd like to be a gm to make times when the server isn't at peak more enjoyable. (shoutout to Penumbra's fun late-night events)

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.

Yes, I used to be a gm and staff on cvr, also held staff positions in other servers but that was a really long time ago.

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.

Feedback is important to pay attention to, especially because a lot of people don't express their thoughts directly to a gms unless first asked. When it comes to negative feedback that's one of the main ways to figure out if people are not having fun which is important, so I'd take the feedback and try to learn from what didn't work out well so as to do better next time. As for the more extreme feedback I'm relatively thick-skinned so it won't bother me but it's still feedback, just from people who felt strongly about whatever the subject of the feedback is.

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?

If the event is something I can still confidently host alone without causing myself any stress and hosting it alone won't impact the quality or cause people to have to wait around while I spread myself thin, then I would still host, otherwise, I wouldn't host as to not force the server to experience a potential sub-par event.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?

Hit up Sentinal and the HGM and let them know what happened along with what exactly I did leading up to the crash for the sake of knowing what potentially caused the crash.

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?

NCOs can whitelist rcts nowadays so I guess I'd just walk the nco through how to whitelist ppl.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?

I think it's important for players to play out the events instead of events playing themselves out but I also recognize the importance of sticking to an event plan, so in this situation depending on circumstances I would either have the door open as a result of something else if the event is going well and I believe continuing would be more enjoyable for everyone, and if things are not going well and people are not having the best time I might also declare whatever the objective is to have failed and wrap up the event.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?

I'd start with trying to talk things out and convince them to participate, if that doesn't work I might try to incentive them by informing them of the potential event rewards and or up the potential reward within reason, and if all else fails I'd rather not force people to do something they don't want to even if they are being convinced by a superior so I'd expedite the event or just outright wrap it up.

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?

Ask them to wait and inform them the post-event db is still part of the event.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?

Inside events, they run the events, outside events, I understand they take tickets regarding giving master tokens for training rcts, enslavement, factories, and other misc rp scenarios.

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?

if the lag is bad get all vehicles to undeploy, if it's not too bad just limit the number of vehicles per side to 1.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.

  1. Think of a very good top halal pog event idea
  2. Create an event plan (What, How, When, Where, Why, server pop req or limit)
  3. Acquire fellow GM assistance if required and brief them on the event / what u need them todo
  4. Execute
  5. After: Review and modify the plan if needed

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1. Golden Vort Meteor Impact
A small meteor that appears to be carrying a high-value golden vigortigaunt impacts the middle of the battlefield as combine and rebels fight, and from it, a variety of hostile strange life forms emerge.
(I would use @@ server chat to tell people "Sataite scans detect a meteor carrying a high-value golden vortagaunt heading to this sector")
(For the meteor, I'd use a slow-moving artillery shell and a prop to play out the meteor crash)
(after the crash I'd use server chat again to say "Secure the crash site, the golden vortagaunt will emerge soon")
(After the crash me and a fellow gm would pill as antlions or antlion workers for a life or 2 and just attack anything near the crash site)

Eventually, the alien emerges, and it is observed that the alien can also stop bullets with his mind and is made of gold. Once the alien is out combine and rebels can convince the alien to follow him back to base, but the alien moves slowly and won't move if no one is nearby.
(I'd piil as or just swap to Vort model, god myself, and have a fellow gm turn me to gold, then cloak and uncloak on the meteor)

(use server chat to tell people that "The golden vort has emerged, he appears to be able to stop bullets with his mind.")
(then after a few moments in server chat again "The vort knows nothing of this world, convince him to follow you back to base for further research. (The vort moves slowly and follows anyone nearby who calls for him)")
If the map is small I would only alt walk as the vort and refuse to take shortcuts, bigger map normal walk.

Once I'm in combine or rebel base I'd say something like "You people seem nice take these as a gift" and would spawn enough RPG crates for everyone near the base exit,
I would then take my leave by spawning a large drum, getting in it, putting a lid on it, /me melts self, spawning a gold cube and clocking myself to give the impression that i melted, then removing the drum and adding 5-10k res to the winning side.

This is just an extra bit but I'd like not to need to do an event db but if I do this event and no one is reading chat I might consider timing the event for a map change and do a little post db pre-event briefing

Got a bit carried away and forgot I was just supposed to make an event idea not plan, next 2 will just be ideas.

2. Ancient Artillery System
Archaeologists unearth an old massive artillery system that never got the chance to see battle during the 7-hour war.

The archeologists are the only people who can fire the artillery system as they seem to be the only ones who understand how it works, they can be frightened easily and will listen to anyone with a gun so whoever has control over the systems location controls when and where to shoot it. Fortunately or unfortunately the Archaeologist works pre slowly so it only fires 1 shell every 50s, if any of the artillery props are destroyed the system is considered destroyed, and after 10 min or maybe less if 1 side is getting shafted 2 hard the artillery system will fail blowing itself up.

3. Super Car Accedent
(this would be a low-pop event to keep things interesting)
A local car enthusiast accidentally crashed his car around one of the points and needs the player's help to fix it, car parts would be scattered around the area that players need to bring back to the car to fix it. Once the car is fixed the thankful car enthusiast would thank the players by letting them take the supercar for a spin. After some time if the player is still in the car the owner will kick them out bc he doesn't like the way they drive, then the car will be colored red and will attempt to run the players over.

How often do you think GMs should host events?

If the events are big maybe once a day or every other day, and smaller/mini events once or twice a day.
(assuming we are talking about the whole gm team and not just 1 gm)

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.

Yes

Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.
Yes, u can see all usable commands in the ulx menu with !menu or xgui in console
@ to set why ur looking at as the target of a command, ^ to set self as target

additionally, u can target multiple people if using a common name bit like !bring 09 will bring all the 09 union goobers
