What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?

As I have a lot more free time than before, I want to help the server to have fun in different ways than the usual gameplay, having both sides to play together and finding new ways to entertain the community by planning events that can either be short and spontaneous events, to have a little break, or maybe something bigger as Pyro is actually doing with the TownRp.

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
I did at different platforms, maily at RP ones but to be honest, no one of them are worth mention as I think they have zero value when it comes to CvR/gmod events.

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
If it is constructive feedback, I'll gladly talk with him/her and take it as a hint that they worry about the quality of the events while taking notes to improve the rest of my events. Yet if it crosses the harassment/rage line, I would try to give the chill pill, this is a game, not a competition. We come there to have fun together no matter the faction, if the player stills with the same mindset, calling an Admin or mod to manage it.

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
I'll firstly talk via GM discord and try to get another gamemaster to help me, if not, I would re-evaluate the event. If I could manage it by itself, everything would stay on the same line, if not, the event should be postponed or cancelled.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
I'd talk about it in the GM chat, apologize, clip the minutes before the crash, share it and try to develop what happened, so it does not happen again.

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
As NCO can give the recruit WL now, it should not be a problem, but if he does not have the NCO WL(which might happen) I will make sure the recruit is indeed trained and ask the NCO to log it in the proper channel, then, give the player the correct WL.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
I will probably make it explode with a little damage if they manage to destroy it, causing the system to malfunction and probably giving them a hint that now they will have to force the door open with explosives, brute force or whatever they mind to, if they don't they won't be able to proceed and also give them a little push with a small RP about noises approaching from behind.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
Reach the player and talk with him/her to find a way to let the rest participate. If the player doesn't change his decision, I would reach a higher ranking (Probably a COL or DvL) to talk about that behavior and talk with the players, encouraging them to join the event.

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
Tell them to let the post-event DB happen. Post-event DB are a great bet to know about how to improve the upcoming events and they usually don't take longer than a regular DB.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
When a GM is not hosting events, they can help the gameplay with lots of tweaks. Coloring vehicles, spawning scanners for CWU, whitelisting recruits, helping people get unstuck or helping with the brainwashing process.
At events, they use whitelists to improve the quality of them, spawning NPC's, props, pills, special entities like cannisters or armor boxes.

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
I'd tell both sides to hold the vehicle deployment for a while until the event ends to prevent the server from lagging, wait a little until at least one or two are gone so the lag is not that much and proceed with the event.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
I like to briefly write a script as the ideas come to my mind, developing the steps while figuring out how much time it would take so it doesn't take longer than it has to. Sometimes I'd approach the GM team to ask for ideas/improvements and help if needed, welcoming anyone that wants to host it with me.

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1. There is a hidden intel cache somewhere in City 13. It's been said that it contains highly classified documents about recent resistance special operations, the combine side had been noticed about it before the resistance members. They would have five minutes to set up a FOB and a defence against the assaulting force at the radio station near to the F point. Both sides can respawn in their points or squads while the event is ongoing. The goal of the resistance is to retrieve the document suitcases hidden in the radio station(combine can also move them, hide them as they are accessible) and bring them back to the leadership building, MACE units can steal them. Meanwhile, the combine faction has to hold them for 10-15 minutes depending of the playerbase, they can roam outside the building and help to hold the point. Depending on the outcome, every side will be awarded with resources or a weapon cache(I don't know it's name at all, the boxes with limited random weapons).

2. Streets are flooded with a xen creature infestation and they are slowly blocking the main ways to the Lazslo's plaza by spreading around, tearing apart anyone who attemps to stop the swarm. Both sides will be hinted about nasty remainings dragged by the waves near the sea, they can collect them and craft bugbait, or scavenge the remainings, able to use it against the enemy faction as a pushing force, when slaughtered, some xenian creatures might drop useful items like grenades, smoke grenades or claymore mines. There is no real winner on this event aside the push provided by the xenian creatures and the gear provided by them or the materials.

3. Night in the vast and sandy lands here, the scouts on both factions notice about weird noises from the swamp, as they begin to gather information about what is going on, both squads don't come back to the base, neither answer the radio communications, tasked with finding their teammates - dead or alive, who knows - they both venture to the swamp area. Trails of blood or corpses would lead them to the bunker near J, a facility guarded by rogue resistance members who are using both combine and resistance squads to test a new drug. Little notes could be found inside the bunker with information about the investigation, the underground market and more data. Depending on the interest in that event, it might lead to a longer chain of events. Each event will have prizes like resources, maybe vehicles or materials/credits.

How often do you think GMs should host events?
To be honest I think that every GM should get like one or two events weekly so the playerbase knows that they will surely have at least a few times to participate on them. This does obviously depend on the GM's availability.

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.
I do and I would accept the consequences and punishment if I do so.

Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.

To be honest it's been a long time since I used ULX and I'd need a little teaching, but I'll list the ones I remember.
  • !menu
  • !bring
  • !explode
  • !slay
  • !slap
  • !hp
  • !armor
  • !cloak
  • !god
  • !strip
There's also a few shortcuts for targetting, but I don't remember all of them.
  • * targets everyone
  • ^ targets you
  • @ targets the player infront of you
