Anyways, sure, people can master a game, but it's not like the same people will always be playing the class, people join and leave the server all the time. Not to mention that a minigame is infinitely less monotonous than a progress bar is regardless of how RNG or mastered it is.

Anyways, there's also already a thing going on with Stalkers (which you probably see in NPU pretty soon), but if there wasn't then i'd give this a +1.

I never liked looting.
What is KOTH?
My point was by adding mini games to sabotaging terminals, you are effectively just making them take time to do it- nothing more than a progress bar.
And RNG can be frustrating.
Can you tell us anything about the stalkers?

For the conversation it doesn't matter if you dislike it, it's part of the game. KOTH = King Of The Hill, AKA the mechanic of "control the area". There's also CTF (Command Resources), and combined arms gameplay. Basically, the game isn't just shooting people, hence it's not a TDM in the same way that TF2 isn't a TDM; because it's got anything else.

The point of minigames is that they're MORE than a progress bar, hence, they're infinitely more engaging because Nothing compared to Anything is infinitely more.

Edit: Nah, stalker stuff will come about soon enough. It's relevant to Resources though.

Thanks.
True. But whatever cvr is I dont think mini games (and looting) belong in it.
Saying its infinitely more engaging is technically true, but 1 cent is still only 1 cent, even if you have 0 dollars; you're just going to make the vagrant mad. And that logic completely falls apart if the mini game is more gratuitous than fun. But yeah, they are better than progress bars if used correctly.
As for the case with sabotaging terminals there is no progress bar to replace, nor do I think there should be one. Adding mini games there would likely be more annoying than fun because its already instant. The mini game could be really good and yeah, then it would be fun, but the effort to make one could be better spent elsewhere anyway.
