Previous Punishments? I have 4 warnings, 1 metagame, 1 minge, and 2 RDM. The metagame was when i was an NPU and arrested someone for entering combine base while we had a prisoner and he refused to show id so i cuffed him, staff warned me for metagame. The minge was when i spawned a flak shell during the first EOW tryout and someone shot it, and i didnt know it was explosive One RDM was when i TKed a ranger because he was refusing to leave an area where tryouts were taking place, so i killed him.
The other RDM was when i TKed an NCO hosting a debrief like a dumbass and thats how i got demoted from officer 3 to 01, but i have learned my lesson from that. What's your reason for becoming Gamemaster? I really enjoy the roleplay aspect of CvR, and one of the main ways that aspect is kept alive is through game masters. the updates we are recieving are mainly focused on making cvr a TDM and no longer a roleplay game, which i am fine with but i'd like to preserve the roleplay aspect in at least events. Im not a huge fan of OOC events, but IC ones are very fun and are a very nice change from the normal kill, die, respawn, repeat. I've been heavily involved in some RP-oriented GM events like when anarchists could craft stuff, things like that. When i did those, that was some of the most fun i've had on this server and i want to be able to do those things. Have you ever been Event Staff or anything similar on other servers? If so please list below. I did on a minecraft server once, i was an event staff. this was a LONG time ago so i didnt really do that much and it was minecraft so it probably doesnt count. on gmod i havent been staff on any server whatsoever and this will be my first staff experience if i am accepted. Explain how you take criticism from other people, from constructive to border-line harassment. If the criticism is constructive and actually lets me know what they liked/didnt like about the event, i will take it into mind and keep that in mind on all my future events. If someone just says "this event sucked", i would ask them what sucked about it and if they give an answer, ill take it into mind, if they dont and just say the event was bad, ill just ignore it. if it is actual harassment targeted towards me, i would have to bring that to actual staff, or deal with it some other way. A Combine CmD has openly expressed their distaste for an event you're doing at that moment. It has gotten to the point where he is actively disrupting your event. What is your course of action? In this case im going to assume the event wasnt mandatory as all events should be optional. if he is in the event, i would first ask him what he doesnt like the event. if he says something related to the event, i would fix it so the event would be enjoyable for both factions and everyone involved. if they continue to disrupt the event after that, i would give them a final warning, and if continued, kick them. A Resistance Fighter starts PMing you with some questions about a recent event you've done. However, because you were AFK, he has started harassing you. What is your course of action? I would first ask him to calm down and that i was afk, if he just says something like "oh sorry" then i would respond to his question, if he continues to harass me i would tell him i wont answer his questions until he calms down. What are GM's permissions both inside and outside of events? During events, GMs are allowed to use their permissions however they deem necessary to go on with the event as long as it wont disrupt the server's normal operation by a large margin, or anything that would be considered admin abuse. they can noclip, cloak, spawn entities, NPCs, build, distribute rewards, and anything else needed for the event.
Outside of events, they are allowed to do minor things such as giving RF/UNION whitelists, unsticking people from walls, flipping vehicles, etc. leave anything of importance like sits, etc. to server staff. You are hosting an important Post-Event DB and all of a sudden, the CO's ask you to leave so they can do their DB and exclude yours. What is your course of action? Ask if i may finish my debrief and that i will be quick about it, if they agree then i finish the debrief quickly, if they disagree i will ask them if i may do mine AFTER theirs. if they still disagree, then i will just let them host their debrief and not host mine. i would still distribute rewards, however. A Gamemaster who said he would be assisting you in an event later on today hasn't shown up and now the event is running behind schedule. What should you do? See if any online GMs would like to take his place, if not, do my best alone. if i CANT do it alone, i'd ask someone if they can get online, and if not, cancel the event. After getting a green light on an event, you notice there are 3 vehicles deployed at once. It is causing a little lag, what is your course of action?
Analyze the situation to see if any of them will be undeployed/destroyed soon. if not, i'd wait like 10-30 minutes and after that, if they are still up, ask the techs/kilos if they would be ok having their vehicles undeployed while the event lasts, and that they will be given back after the event. What's the process GM's take before making events, from start to finish. (This is what YOU think)
Step one is forming the idea for the event, smoothing out the details and planning the whole event. once you think its good enough to go on the server, run it through shark and if he says no, i'd fix what was wrong and try again. if he said yes, i would prepare to set up the event ingame and take all necessary actions. A Resistance Captain is openly criticizing your event when he isn't in the event itself. It has gotten to the point where he is interrupting your important adverts relating to the event. What should you do? Ask him to stop, if he declines, i would see if he is following the rules with his adverts. if he is, i would just have to continue mine like normal and be ready to deal with any delays that might occur to people not seeing the adverts.
How often do you think GM's should host events?
For major events, maybe once every week or two. For medium events that dont need any announcing other than just an in-game announcement, maybe once every day or two. for small, quick events with small rewards, can be hosted multiple times per day. List three events that you might do if you get accepted (DETAILED AND BE ORIGINAL) [Campaigans and RP Situations are EXCLUDED] For IC events, one could be a unit of rogue combine units stole a train loaded with turrets, and while the train was going it crashed due to an anarchist group sabotaging the railways. the train crashed and the hostile combine units have set up a defensive perimeter. on the train were schematics to some advanced turrets, and it would be worth either team's time to take out the rogue combine, all the turrets they have set up, and take the schematics back to their base. the reward would be that either a grid or engi, or if none are online, the highest ranking officer may set up 2 emplacement turrets where they wish to be used to defend the combine, or instead of emplacements, some combine turret pills could be given out and moved to where they desire. Another IC event could be that a recent batch of rollermines have a programming error and now attack all living creatures that they see. this rollermine shipment could be stashed somewhere on the map, and if a team can work together to destroy all the rollermines with a vehicle or with explosives, they could be given multiple rollermine pills, or some other reward. An OOC event could be a labyrinth event. i would start by setting up a maze, and get about half of the people attending into rollermine pills. the remaining humans would have to search the labyrinth for gravity guns and crowbars in order to destroy the rollermines. everyone would be a civillian other than the rollers so that the rollers would have a chance of winning. no rewards would be given out. Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak staff information in gamemaster channels or otherwise. I will not abuse my powers in-game or otherwise. I must add [DEFN] to my steam username as soon as I get accepted. Yes, i understand. Do you understand the basics of ULX? (If so, list basic commands below) Not really, as i have stated this would be my first staff experience. i do know some simple ones, such as !menu, !goto, !bring, !freeze, !noclip, !cloak, !give, !model, !mute, !kick i would have to learn a lot of commands if i were accepted.
+1 You've been on the server for awhile now and you have the experience in order to make a good slot and being a grid your creativity would be a good fit for a GM.

I'm not sure what I did that shown I was very immature and irresponsible other than the whole situation with the nco debrief, can I get some examples?
Personal opinion and this is coming from experience with him in general. He can be immature but he's helpful and I know he can be mature when needed. Please contact me for training because I need to do it myself for a couple of reasons.|
