List all (if any) previous punishments (Warns/Bans)
none What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
I want to be able to help out with GM silly activities, and also become EVEN MORE involved with the server then I already am. 0~0 Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
CvR staff, recently became operator/T-Mod Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
don't mind it, I do take it into consideration though, but otherwise don't take it to heart. While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
put a message into discord requesting assistance, if nobody comes, deal with it, yeah it would be harder but don't want to cancel on a promised event While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
put a message into the discord explain what happened before the crash, ping whosoever may be needed to ping, and the such
An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
{o_o} I am staff, but regardless for the question, I do not exactly know if gm ULX can give WLs but if it can then give it, if not put a message request in the discord
While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
2 ways to go about this, curve the event around the COs decision, or have an incentive for the door to be opened, but due to the nature of the situation the question implies, it would be the former most of the time
While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
I remember reading somewhere that this is advised against doing, as a CO, but anyways, the best way to get the faction to participate is either A, something to make it easier for them (i.e. a teleporter) or allowing something such as a OSS/EOW/LA ect. to deploy, if there isn't one online, there is always the option to make a button where they can get something such as armor vests or better weapons
After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
kindly ask them to wait, I haven't seen a CO do such a thing in any events I have attended, but I would have to presume this is the only way it could be handled
What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
I do not exactly know, but from everything I have seen, I would have to make assumptions here, but anyways, hosting events, planned and unplanned, taking tickets regarding RP aspects of CvR, and all such stuff related to the two points I have already made.
While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
Request the vehicles to undeploy, allowing only 1 (2 if needed) transports per faction for the start of the event
Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
Intro to event, i.e. "A HELICOPTER HAS CRASHED I wonder if there's loot?"
CvR combat for little bit
take item/defend point for this bit
if wanted losing side of the event can base raid to win map/event Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.
1.A VIP event, capture classes grab the VIP, a civ or such, and take them back to base, being escorted by their team, whatever team kills the VIP loses, hold the VIP at base for 5-10 minutes to win, VIP gets 1k-1.5k HP
2.an APC/Helicopter has crashed, it has sent a distress signal to whatever faction would be better suited for defending at the moment, defend it and RTB with its contents, whether they be a box of something or a person.
3.NPU/MP have captured a prisoner of high notice, other faction wants them out/dead, NPU/MP must transport the prisoner from random point to base, whether walking or APC, building classes may take this time to build defenses for upcoming baseraid, while NPU/MP defend alongside their respected faction, the other faction must baseraid to either kill (if combine are raiding) or rescue (if rebels are raiding), baseraid may or may not win map, depending on reserve counts
How often do you think GMs should host events?
Multiple times throughout the day, small events constantly, server wide events anywhere from daily to weekly
Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.
Yes
Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.
I understand most of the commands from becoming staff, most of the more GM related ULX and commands are slightly vague to me, but I understand most of the concepts
If needed I can expand on questions, I simply need more specific points so I can more easily explain the point I am trying to convey.
+1 due to Penumbra's character (chill dude, for sure, could probs take a good punch in the gut from salty players and be just fine)
In terms of the app:
- Good acknowledgement of the fact that GMs are in control. Yes, if you're hosting a DB, and someone wants to host theirs, they will simply have to wait. If there are vehicles deployed but you need them out for an event, tell them to undeploy.
- When someone needs an RCT WL'd, yes, you can do it yourself. But do not forget to remind the NCO that they can use their NCO WL to WL the RCT.
- CAREFUL ON "WINNING A MAP." You are not allowed to mess with the Reserves in such a way that may change the map, without prior approval or having had the Reserves basically at 0 before the event started. If you had to keep adding Reserves to make sure the map didn't change, that might be a different story, since everyone might want to move to a new map to host their post-event DBs over there. Otherwise, it is a no-go.
- I would like to emphasize that this is centered around events, so for the listed events, while I don't need an essay, I would like a little more than a 1 - 2 sentence description. How would the mechanics work? (i.e. are MACE allowed to cloak into the base to kill the VIP? Why does either team need to cap a VIP in the first place? How long would the heli need to be defended for? Are pushback classes allowed? etc...)
Due to the nature of the application, my opinion rests on neutrality, leaning to a +1.

You have grand potential. I've seen you around, and you prove yourself on having a creative mind.
I'd love to see you try GM!
However, for 3, I find that reliance on classes is a little iffy imo.
very gud
