Kicked out of GameMasters due to abuse What's your reason for becoming Gamemaster? as a mod i like to make the server better through enforcing rules and making sure everything is fair, as a GM i would like to make the server better through fun events that will keep the server alive! Have you ever been Event Staff or anything similar on other servers? If it was a good event, there is always room for improvement, even if you yourself believe its perfect. A Combine CmD has openly expressed their distaste for an event you're doing at that moment. It has gotten to the point where he is actively disrupting your event. What is your course of action?
Depending on how bad the disruption is i would ask them to leave or, if it gets rule-breakingly bad, i would contact staff to help me with the problematic CmD A Resistance Fighter starts PMing you with some questions about a recent event you've done. However, because you were AFK, he has started harassing you. What is your course of action?
I would speak to the fighter and not get annoyed. I was the one who went afk so i believe it is my responsibility to take whatever was given to me. Then again if the harassment becomes a real threat i would contact staff. What are GM's permissions both inside and outside of events?
inside: while inside your event you have power to spawn, kill, and do whatever is within what you have been approved for when requesting this event. outside of events you can help 'unstuck' players and help answer questions and such You are hosting an important Post-Event DB and all of a sudden, the CO's ask you to leave so they can do their DB and exclude yours. What is your course of action?
I would politely ask them to wait for my DB to be over, and if they refuse to wait i would try to integrate their DB into mine. If that still doesn't work and they complain i would speak to staff and such due to my event and its DB being pre-scheduled and therefore the CO should have known it was happening. A Gamemaster who said he would be assisting you in an event later on today hasn't shown up and now the event is running behind schedule. What should you do?
either 1. ask other GMs or active admins if they would/could help out with the event that i wanted to hold. 2. IMPROVISE, try to slightly change things as to where you can do it alone yet still have the same event 3. sadly cancel it... iv'e run out of options and my event is a bust After getting a green light on an event, you notice there are 3 vehicles deployed at once. It is causing a little lag, what is your course of action?
i would ask COs for a block on spawning more vehicles. i would also let the other vehicles live their lives as to not put any of the factions at a disadvantage What's the process GM's take before making events, from start to finish. (This is what YOU think)
figure out what do people want, whats fun, who is online, what haven't we done in a while, who even wants to do events, what time is good, what wont break server, is this even legal, can i get people to help. that is how i believe i would do it. i believe that a GM should have an event at least twice a week but nothing crazy, we wouldn't want the server just to be a giant mini-game server full of events List three events that you might do if you get accepted (DETAILED AND BE ORIGINAL) [Campaigans and RP Situations are EXCLUDED] Search and deploy: The combine have stolen a VIP from the rebels and shoved them into some hiding somewhere. The rebels must find this person and break them out and give them their weapons and such back. Doing so will give the rebels a strong fighter for a while, if rebels fail, the UU gives the rebel high power weapons to their own VIP Aliens vs predators: combine and rebels vs fast zombies controlled by select players in a controlled (hopefully forested) area. faction that kills most zombies gets rewards of Mid tier. I would be keeping track of all zombie deaths and who killed them, then add up the scores right before event DB to announce what faction won. Combine Strike: Global offense. : combine must defuse a bomb by killing rebels to gather Intel from their bodies to find where bomb is. Rebels must defend bomb until it explodes. winning faction gets prizes of Mid Tier. I will choose where to plant the bomb and only notify certain rebels what clues to give out upon their body being searched. either that or have the combine who killed the 'special' resistance member send out a ticket and i will give them the Intel myself.
