Yeah, bipod attachment was already added. You have to crouch to get the recoil reduction benefit.

Every time I've suggested an actual bipod or a mechanic that requires a player to be standing still to get benefit from their fighting (Which would make taking up a defensive position much more advantageous) a few groups of people people seem to recoil in horror because they want the game to stay "reaction-based" or say how would never use it cus "they'd be easier to kill" (despite having a defensive advantage and being mostly behind cover, meaning snipers/DMRs would be your main threat).

These types of mechanics wouldn't really be OP or useless, but there is a decent chunk of the playerbase that doesn't want gunplay to require more than reactions, strafing and recoil control, which isn't really a bad thing. - It just means that setting up and preparing for an attack is a lot less important or advantageous than it could be unless you have a shield.

And if an actual bipod was going to be added to LMGs, they'd have to have a big base recoil nerf so that they were more of a defensive unit and more effective when they deployed, but then again, I also wouldn't want shield + LMG units getting a deployable bipod cus fuck that.
