Why should we remove warn/ban?
Not looking for a complete removal, more of a reduction of the ban length, though if that's possible with my reasoning, then that'd be awesome. First and foremost with my record, it is horrible. I've done a lot of stupid shit and I admit that, I believe I've still got 2 active warnings though I think they're pretty old. There has been another case of me committing MRDM so I understand the view of some staff member's seeing me as a repeat offender. Though this case, in my opinion, was definitely an accident from my end.

Context: Map is whiteforest, HC+OSS+EOWA deploy to capture the final point so we can win with the last minute or so to go. We win. I see a Hunter in the rebel base (which was a staff member according to Biter) and fire a burst into the direction of the resistance base.

Why did I shoot into the rebel base? In my mind when I saw the Hunter, I thought that he too was assaulting them so I thought it was allowed to do so, though I'll admit I never heard the Hunter shoot or do anything, it was just standing there inside the base. With this, I fired a small burst into their base with the main gun of the Hunter Chopper. I did get hitmarkers, so I did hit people. After that I left as the map was rotating to city13 and I'm just not a big fan of that map.

Now, why do I want this reduced: Mostly because of a misunderstanding, I guess. Biter told me that there have been previous announcements about people ignoring the rules when the game is done, though to be completely honest with you, I haven't seen any of them so I was did this without any prior warning (which is pretty stupid ngl). Additionally, this came from a report. In my mind this tells me that this has ruined someone's experience with the server, I believe the report came from another staff member or GM as one of the pictures that were provided against me featured a !administrate view of the server (so names are visible to the viewer and you're in noclip). What I'm trying to say is, I don't believe I've ruined anyone's experience with that action, and if I did: you must be really petty to report that. This may sound a bit arrogant on my end though that's just how I feel.

So in brief, I'm just looking for a reduction over an honest mistake as its not that serious imo

I'll add is that I'm probably one of the most checked the fuck out players and even I know staff really don't want you to break the rules just because the game's about to end.

But good news for you! There's been a recent announcement encouraging more leniency when the action had no ill intent and low negative impact on other player's gameplay. (Which I suspect you know considering that's the same wording you're using.)

I think 8 weeks is unhinged and not at all in line with the recent announcement so it should be corrected.
I suggest a warn instead since it seems like that's EXACTLY what he needed.

I had this happened to me before when outer canals was first time in rotation (when we still had reserve system) however back then the new map changing system was still relatively new so not many people really knew if this was allowed or not (little story time: when we lost on outer canals for the first time post map system update, everybody ran into some tunnels thinking they would enter the base, I never saw if they did tho)

However I only got one kill inside the rebel Bae on foot while you were in a hunter chopper, I was not there when it happened but if you did kill someone that it is still viable for a warn

Tho in all honesty, biter did kinda overreact and I think we should be able to do this TF2 style since the map is going change in a minute, at least maybe arrest or hold them at gunpoint so they can't escape, yknow like making prisoners out of them, NPU and MP would love that
