i wanna become Gamemaster again to make the server even more enjoyable and try to get the community even more involved with events. Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
i use to be a Gamemaster before and i really enjoyed it but had to leave to personal and school / college reasons. Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
i dont think im terrible when it comes to negative feedback. ill take the feedback i get and try to impove on whats wrong with what i did. While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
worst case ill just proceed with it just being me and try to change some thing around while the event is going on to best suit me for managing it but before i would ask other Gamemasters if they are free to help me before i proceed. While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
i would take the NPC that crashed the server get their id / name and report it to the head Gamemasters so they can take a look at it and possibly black list them and also apologies. An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
i would ask around and see if a CO / Admin could get on to whitelist. While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
i would consult with the CO and tell them that they are breaking the event rules and the door has to be open. if they do no comply i will make the other team win by default or remove the door so that the the even can proceed. While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
i would consult with the CmD / MAJ and see why they will not participate and try to work around the issue with them so that its fun for everyone. After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
id tell them that post event debriefs take priority and ask they leave untill it is over. What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
taking tickets for example. Hosting a factory and giving techs / kilos training vehicles While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
i would wait untill the vehicles undeploy or get destroyed before hosting the event. Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
i would open up a note pad and make notes on ideas i come up with then i would take them into CvR admin area and design the area of the event. then once im happy with what i have ill queue it up and and begin the event. Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.
1. OLD WAR.
An old combine outpost has fallen under rebel protection and has a secret vault that contains missile launch codes. the combines objective is to take over the old outpost and regain the missile codes and safely transport them back to the combine base.
2. Operation CV-II.
A Facility containing a vile called CV-II has be located by the Rebels and Combine. their objective it to capture the facility and extract the vile from the locked up chamber. once the site has been taken by either side they must then hold out for 5mins while they over ride the doors and can then proceed to the Vile. They must then safely transport it back to either base to be stored so it cant be used as a weapon against them. however the opposing side can intersept the transport and steal it.
3. Both Rebels and Combine scout teams have gathered information on the where abouts of a modern Warfare Warehouse that contains 5 heavily armours tanks and APC's. their objective is to take control of the warehouse and claim the vehicles for themselfs. each opposing team has a choice to either try to destroy the vehicles the opposing team is trying to take or they can steal them back. once stolen they are to be stored safely in each sides bays. (Kilo bay or R&D Bay.)
How often do you think GMs should host events?
1-2 times a week or weekend. if they host them too often people will get annoyed. Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules.
