Shotgun/SWORD "improvement" suggestion

What is your suggestion?

Shotgun improvement: Give all shotguns selectable chokes so players can control the spread of their shotgun, but suggestion is Open-Modified-Full.  Make the default, either open or modified.

Id prefer all of these unlocked from the start, but if Full and open are unlockabble from kills, i can see the argument.  I dont know how the percentages go, but make Open similar to what we have now, Modified the inbetween and full a pretty tight spread. 

SWORD/Shotgun class:   Give the shotgun classes a pistol/MP/SMG secondary, speaking on SWORD, the M79 is the other extreme, especially with its current chractertic of point blank explosions.     Im not opposed to the M79, its just not very effective in the inbetween, so either make the shotgun better there, or give another secondary to be used in the inbetween.

Tertiary:  Try to balance the shotgun classes by standardising on shotguns and shotgun charcteristics for role.   Not opposed to Asymatry, but one sides shotguns shouldnt be objectively better than the others.  (not saying they are)


Remove or change the role of suppressors for the shotgun.
How would this benefit the server?
A:
Choke:  it will give players more freedom to choose their choke to their playstyle and map, and hopefully make the shotguns more consistent and competitive. 



Class:  It should give a shotgun main at least better ability to supress a rifle or more longer ranged class until they can close in, and make them more competitive rather than a one trick pony.

Note: I dont think SWORD should be able to duel snipers, just supress riflemen at medium-short range more effectively, so they cant just mow you down from lets say, the edge of the tunnel in Stalker.

i also personally just prefer as much realism in weapons as can be found, and the chokes would ease me for that one, same with removing the supressors role or it entirely from shotguns.

Improvement is in brackets, as its obviously subjective.

As far as my shotgun expereince goes, SWORD seems like a one trick poney, and the default in game is adhoc teams at best with nominal to no communication.  

If i can set up a poll, i will make four options, Class (in principle IP) choke (IP), neither, both. 

I have screenshots i took for spread, and will try to explain my point clearer with them off forum in the hopes of who ever is in charge of it gets my point easier

Decided to make my own, i disagree with his implimentation of chokes, and decided to do my combi suggestion instead. I opted not to put this in the thread at the end of my conversation chain.

SWORD/Assault are meant to be extreme cqc units, and you can just equip a decent smg with carry weight and still have some armor (not even armor, you can just get hat trick and a better rifle).

Tertiary weapons aren't better than one another, at least not fully. For example, people compare the spas with the mass and argue that the mass sucks shit. However, RU seem to mag dump their entire load into a riot that can just weave around, and they'll be left open. The mass also has a slam-fire function that allows you to hold M1 to fire a continuous, slow fire stream of buckshot.

Silencers serve the same purpose as chokes, along with lasers. No reason to remove them or change their purpose.

The class should organically come with some medium ranged secodnary, as opposed to what it has, perks and craftable require grind and are artificial, and the grind can be reset. there is no point arguing about the artificial add ons when talking about class main. They also used to at some stage have a pistol as a secondary. They dont even work that well in their role due to the inconsistencies in the shotgun, and a shotguns range is more than within breathing range.


Silences were suggested to be removed in lieu for something that makes more sense(choke), their function is to reduce the flash and sound of the firearm firing, nothing more.
