I took a little break from video games to focus on college but I realized I hated college but still love DEFN. I want to help this server continue to grow and make sure the game is being played the way it was supposed to be played and that no one is exploiting or doing anything against the rules. Why should you be accepted on the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences. I have put a lot of work into this server by playing on it. It is an amazing server and your staff no offense but is in need of some help right now. I want to help out this server in any way I can which would include being a Mod and doing tasks most staff would not want to have to deal with. last time I was staff I feel like I was at least a bit respected in knowing the rules of the server and being there if you called for a staff member. I am dedicated to this server and I will be playing even when Gmod starts to fade and the player counts start to go down. Even if I don't get the staff I'm still gonna do that. I would also like to apologize for the lack of communication on my part the last time I was a staff member. Unfortunately, my father passed away 2 years ago and I was dealing with things no offense but things that were above Gmod. I am all good now and I am ready to do my part for the good of the server. I also have a lot of experience being a staff member on servers. I was a Mod for Noxifier Networks JvS ( changed to Ironnetworks last week) for a month. I was HOS for a server called J-Corp CWRP. I was also a Head Admin for a server called eXo networks that hosted HaloRP. ( I can give the discord of both of the owners if you would like) Do you understand that you must have "[DEFN]" tag in your Steam name whenever you join CvR? Yes, I do. Any staff who can vouch for you? If you ask any staff they either won't know me cause I don't cause trouble or they will know me as an absolute sigma male on the field and an absolute death machine. Some staff members might remember me though and I think they didn't have any bad experiences with me unless they broke a rule and they had to deal with me. An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do? I would PM both of them and ask what is going on unless the Civi already makes a case for it. I would bring the civi and get his story. Then I would get the MPF's side of the story in a different location from the Civi to avoid and escalations to the situations including a yelling match. I would then check dmg logs to see if the civi damaged the MPF and would also confirm that the MPF killed the civi with logs. Most likely it was an accident and I tell the MPF to not make it a habit and for him to continue on with his day and to be more careful. Then I would apologize to the Civi and say to him to call me again if he does it again or it becomes a habit. An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member? Although RP Defecting does not happen anymore, The soldier can not enter the building. This is fail RP and I would warn him. he can just switch over to Combine if he wants. You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit, the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this? I would say that this is out of character and you can not do that. I would then mark down the time the threat was made and since I usually record using OBS when I am on staff duty for servers I would just show the staff team this and also tell the other COs. A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do? I would quickly make sure my recording software is working then I would need to get their Steam ID's then Contact every single higher up staff member, send proof, and warn the players. You see a high-ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do? I would make sure I have the recording and look through the rules to check if it was ok. If not I would inform the Owner of what happened and give him the recording and let him deal with it.
