What is your suggestion?
Change or remove the downside on Syringe Gun. (Currently the downside is -1 weight.)
(if you -1 because you do not want CWU to use the perk please explain why)


How would this benefit the server?
Because CWU does not have ANY weight limit, we can no longer use the perk. This has neutered class and caused some CWU to leave or stop playing.
The downside itself is insignificant outside of this regard, and removing it would do little to the perk's balance.

CWU is literally and objectively the worse class to use Syringe Gun on.
We can't defend ourselves because our only weapon, not even melee, heals. Because you have a gun out you are always KOS. We have 100hp---die in 2 shots---where a regular Union has 310hp and 9 weight points left over (if you use the P320: the CWU gun) for armor.

Not to forget having a gun out means you are always KOS. So wouldn't you enjoy that more?

I'm personally neutral however I do want to bring up why this changed happen for those who aren't aware: it was more a natural consequence of removing the effects of perks with weight modifiers for classes who don't have access to equipment, IE: OSS using light load. It wasn't done specifically to change or "nerf" CWU's ability to heal.

It was a specific nerf to CWU bundled into the weight shtuff, I was like "should we let these mfs use syringe gun" and sentinel was like "maaybe" and then I was like "idk man kinda op imo" and he was like "aight fuck em"

Yes, the only other class that is affected is anarchist, and it only changed 2 perks: Light Load and Syringe Gun. If it were truly a matter of logical consistency, why bother? I just wish we were upfront about the reason so that maybe we can agree on a compromise.
Frankly the main problem was the synergy. For whatever reason, with those perks combined (Syringe Gun, Team Player, and Mirror), you could heal several hundred HP with each bullet. (I don't know exactly, but you could heal faster than an EOD could damage.) If I had to guess, there is likely a bug with Team Player which is supposed to increase your outgoing healing by 40%. Doing the math (50 x 1.4) gets you 70 hp per bullet, but it seems to be way more than that.
