What is your suggestion? A: Create a simple command that tells people what tryouts are occurring that day (ex: /tryouts)
How would this benefit the server? A: So many times have I had people ask "Are there any tryouts today/going on right now" and I feel like a simple command that tells people what tryouts are currently occurring that day would fix that. I know people can just check the discords for tryout announcements but a command would make the process much faster and you wouldn't have to switch tabs. I don't know if there possibly is a way to make it so COs can add to the message that displays after you type the command, or if it would have to be manually done by someone in the development team. But if COs could be able to add their tryouts to the command I feel like this could be a nice little addition.

A simple way is to refer to the tryouts tab on discord or ask a CO as they tend to do the private tryouts most of the time.
If they don't they will simply inform you when there will be tryouts, which is way simpler than having a whole command to show up a list of tryouts.

As much as it sounds like a good idea, there are literally two ways to gain such information:
-Join the Discord.
-Ask around.
It's not hard to join the discord because the app is free, and so is joining the discord server itself. It's also not hard to ask a CO if they can host a private tryout for their own division.
I don't feel like having to make myself or my COs make a schedule for tryouts every day just to appease some random UNION 09 or get yelled at for not making one, especially when most of us are far busier with our actual lives than we are in CvR.

Should this be implemented (big if), I would say it has to go hand in hand with expanded NCO jobs for each subdivision, as a lot of subdivisions have active NCOs that have the ability to host tryouts, and do so pretty frequently, so adding to the menu should absolutely be something that they have the power to do.
I'm not going to fully endorse this because the server has a lot more pressing issues and, as the others pointed out, there are already accessible and convenient means of understanding when tryouts will be hosted, being officer comms, tryout announcements, advertisements, and contacting COs in one way or the other. It would just simply be a nice quality of life addition.
-1 in theory this could be very useful but in practice i could see this being a big hassle not just for Senior NCOs/CO's i see this as a whole lotta trouble for the dev team i couldnt imagine how you would go about this and surprise tryouts happen so often it would be a bitch to try and organize it with everyone else trying to host. not to mention Most Senior NCO's and CO's always give privates for their division we just need to be asked either in game or through discord

Its good idea but i think tryouts announcements chat in discord is better because people have to join the discord which is important for many things (promo grants - ic info and rules change ) so tryouts chat is good motivation for people to join the discord at the start
