How would this benefit the server? A:Lots of people got bored of playing city 13, city 16, stalker, highlands, white forest, valley and pripyat. Stalker and pripyat rarely get chosen because they are not suitable for CvR style gameplay and the map's way too dark, so why not make a poll to replace them with better and possibly maps with better lighting?
I want c13_v2_remaster back. So goated.
Also the old stalker, but I'm not sure that it'll make a good combination with the new weapons (we won't know until we try it..).
This is just a random comment, but I really liked when maps had their own, 3d skybox. It was cool with all the lighting, sun and distant buildings. Right now it's cool that there's a day and night cycle, but IMO the unique skyboxes looked way nicer.
Remake MW2 2009 maps into CvR, mush them up into 1 and you got yourself a big compact map for PvP

This is gonna sound stupid and will absolutely 100% never happen because of OVA/Tech. BUuuut I want a map that's just 100% underground, like caves systems and underground trenches and shit, low light levels but still just enough on certain spots to encourage fighting and stuff. It would be hell on Earth with techs and engies but it sounds really fun.
I don't think the current map pool is necessarily bad, but they could absolutely stand to be more thematically appropriate. Whiteforest is one of my favourite maps, not necessarily because it's a good map (I actually think fighting for most of its points can be a pretty miserable experience), but because it's one of the only maps that reminds me I'm playing a HL2 server and not some other vague militaryRP. City_final is my all time favourite CvR map for that very reason, just because wandering the ruins of City 17 feels cool.
