Why do you want to be a Gamemaster?
I want to host better events during low pop, and it would be helpful to have gamemaster abilities so I can kick off better mini-events throughout the week, or help other GMs with bigger events. Gamemaster would let me do more for the server with the time I have, so thats the main reason I’m applying

Have you ever been Event Staff/Gamemaster or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions and describe something notable you did in those positions.
No

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
I would hear what the person is saying and try to understand what they are getting at to see if they have a point, criticism is ok if it is not blatantly insulting people, so I’d take note of what is being said and mention it to others if/when relevant

While planning a server-wide event, you had another Gamemaster assisting you. Unfortunately, 5 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
Keep going as planned, however let people know I need another GM, ask around on discord/DM other GMs to get on, and tell players there may be some hiccups or delays if the event is overly demanding on GM interactions until another GM comes

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
Immediately contact the relevant management members, DM sentinel if it was crazy, explain exactly what happened and answer any questions about the crash, also would use dev server if doing something overly demanding/risky

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
Before the event I would have covered objectives, such as making the computer unbreakable, as well as telling players that the computer can not be obstructed/broken, if this was missed I would first tsay or csay that the computer being damaged is obstructing its function to hint that they shouldn't destroy it, if no one listened I would announce a de-buff for the offending team such as the door is permanently open/closed

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
Ask to speak with them privately, in-game or discord, listen to what they think is wrong, and remind them that their behavior as a CO reflects how people interact with the server and they shouldn’t lash out just because its not their way, if it persists I’d contact their LTCOL or COL since these kinds of actions are unfitting of a CmD/MJR, even if the event did have issues

While you are hosting an event, you notice that the server starts to lag dramatically. What do you do?
Ask around if anyone is spawning lots of things, see if OVA or R&D are in a lot of vehicles, and if necessary announce in chat that people need to delete props or stop whatever thing it is their doing(vehicle/prop making, ragdolls)

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is greatly appreciated.

  1. 2-3 Part multi-division event, start with an event that leads into another, requires communication between multiple divisions, for example, X v X division at noon, followed by X v X at 1:30, events usually begin with the first being an attack and defense scenario, with the victor deciding who base raids who in the next event. Can even be followed by back-to-back base raids, something Ive seen people stick around for(so it could be 3 events in a row, 1 initial attack/defense on a pre-built fortress/point then 2 base raids with the victor of the first battle raiding first), pretty basic 2-3 part event/base-raid setup that you can throw any theme onto, also good for storyline/campaign events. The Event I did like this was the Combine had to defend a test lab in a pre-built fortress, we set a 30 minute timer and the victor decided who base raided first. For the event we agreed that the rebels would raid first, as the combine won/defended succesfully and thus brought the lab tests back to their base, after the rebels base-raided stole it, the combine base raided to get it back. Kept a lot of people on for quite a bit
  1. Fight Club, this is a low pop mini-event that I thought would be decent for keeping activity up during low pop days or weekdays, I would need GM for this preferably, since they could hand out crowbars to combine to allow for the combine to participate since the stunstick vs crowbar can seem unfair to some people. Fighters and spectators would bet on fights, and Id throw in extra credits to make it worth it. Fun event to test your metal and keep things silly and fun, circle of yelling people gambling over crowbar fights
  1. Rebel Ambush: The combine are transporting goods to the frontlines by land to avoid the Rebel AA, and the Rebels have planned ambush points along the new combine shipping routes. The combine would be given trucks to carry boxes or barrels jelly car style to transport along a pre-planned route, with checkpoints they must pass through on the way to a drop off point. Rebel FOBs would be pre-placed at each checkpoint at the start, making the ambush spots for the route. Rebels win if they can stop the combine from transporting the goods in time, say 1 hour, and the combine would win if they get X amount of crates to a dropoff point within the hour, passing through the pre-planned route and the checkpoints.

Do you understand the basics of using ULX and how to build in gmod?
Yes, I can build pretty well, I understand NPC spawning, and I can use ULX
