Who warned/banned you? Lucifer and Santa

Date of Warn/Ban: 10/11/22 7:00

Ban Length: N/A

Warn/Ban Reason: Prop abuse

Why should we remove warn/ban?

U should remove the warning because I didn't prop abuse.
I was playing Engi building a FOB on B and me and the 2 others died. I respawned and then deployed again. After I died again I wanted to switch to tech, so I removed my props, tabbed out, and started to look up the deployment rules on the forums while I was on the death screen. after I found them for Mainstreet I tabbed back In respawned, then switched to tech.

I don't really know what rule I broke here and Lucifer didn't really elaborate. All he said was a D4 violation and was saying something about a 5-minute cooldown between switching, but (as far as I know) that's not a rule. also regarding him saying the D4 violation, I didn't remove the props because I died, I removed them because I was going to switch to tech; which is allowed.

I guess if you are super nit-picky you could say while the time I was dead I technically wasn't on tech, so I shouldn't have removed my props.
That is true, and if you want to keep the warning for that reason, sure, but its effectively the same as switching first.

Evidence/Other:
I'm sure Lucifer would be more than happy to show you the logs

I never heard of the 5 minute cooldown and the switching thing is kinda your fault since you should make sure to delete your props the right way on that whitelist before switching, different story if you were getting off the server though.

Neutral leaning towards +1

I wasn't there nor do I have evidence to look at, so unable to give my usual vehement +1/-1.

I dont know DEFN's policy towards verbal warnings. If they were an option, they sound like (sound like, not are) the best option here since this was a minor offense, and I'm guessing Bagel doesn't have a history of this.

So the reason this was a warn and not a Verbal was due to your rank. You are a Lead Enginner and still had a violation of the sort.

For the specific rule, You were warned under D7 "Undoing/Quickly-deleting fortifications when enemies take over the area is prohibitied". The fact that when you died, the combine had taken over the position and then you deleted the props is the current issue. Combine were utilising your FOB to counter the backcapping that was happening.

When I took you into a sit for this you stated it was "Combine Bias" as I am known to be maining Combine. So I had called Santa to go through the sit with me and give his opinion also. He came to the same conclusion as what you said to us is as soon as you died you deleted the props and changed jobs. Thats the main issue. As soon as combine took it over it was deleted.

Dont know what else you wish for me to say but the facts of the warn. Both myself and Santa agreed on this. I get where your coming from but it doesn't excuse the action. If you disconnected then no problems as you might of had irl issues or something but changing jobs as soon as combine take over your B FOB wasnt the best of plays man.

You got rid of the props while you were still on the engineer whitelist, but thats after the combine took it over. To avoid things like this and in the past I've seen it happen, its recommended to delete it with the remover tool instead of spamming undo, to avoid prop abuse warns. There is no such thing as a "5 minute cooldown" in the rules either. Also, I'm not too sure that anyone even made a sit about it and if Lucifer just took it into his own hands, but then again thats his job so if he wants to enforce a little thing like that, let him..

I've had people do this to me all the time and its really annoying so I'm glad someone's getting punished for it.

This is uncalled for, don't derail the conversation into "this mod sucks"

+1 warnings are gay, no reason for you to get a warning for this

he broke a rule it is pretty evident, just close this appeal already with a denied.

(no offence but based on everything said already, your warn is most likely going to stay)
