What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
Being a game master has always interested me and it interests me even more now that I'm a CO in CWU and the GCB due to their dependence on RP so I want to host events which are more RP friendly and create a "new world" what not only the GCB and CWU can experience but the server as a whole.

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
Unfortunately, no.

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
If its actual constructive criticism, I would listen carefully, address their concerns and work to better my events. If its borderline harassment, I would still listen carefully. If someone put in the effort to harass me I must have messed up badly right? However, that's still not a valid excuse to harass someone so I would tell them to stop and if they don't I would contact affairs (Depending on the severity. If its just name-calling I would most likely just block them)

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
I would check what other events are planned to happen today and if possible, delay the event by 40 minutes and look for another gamemaster who will be able to help me. If I am unable to find one, I would inform the HGM or a SGM that I will be cancelling my event.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
I would immediately contact Sentinel and inform him that the server had crashed while I was testing with NPCs.

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
Nothing since if I recall correctly, GMs can't whitelist people outside of events.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
I would let them do it and then improvise and make the event fail catastrophically. I would do this because punishing the CO wouldn't make any sense since destroying the computer is logical from an RP standpoint and not allowing them to do it would deter people from thinking outside the box and just make the event less fun.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
I would simply get staff to mute them and try to encourage players on that side to participate. After the event is over, I would report that CMD/MAJ to their superiors.

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
I would simply just decline. GMs have priority over COs which means, COs should not dictate what GMs should and should not do.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
Inside of events, GMs pretty much full authority to do pretty much anything reasonable. So things like placing down props to KOSing people.

Outside of events, GMs can spawn in cars for civilians, give anarchists weapons (If they're in a faction and their faction has that weapon in storage), roll against people in RP scenarios such as hacking a console or hacking into R&D workshop or Overlook office comms.

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
If all of them are faction owned vehicles I would check if an admin is online and give both factions the choice of either undeploying their vehicles or scrapping them with a full resource refund.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
Process for simple events (Pill stores, tournaments ext):
Create a concept >>> Ask for others opinion on the concept >>> Improve the concept >>> Ask others for a final opinion on the concept >>> Listen to criticism and if the concept is good, make it into an event.

Process for complex events (RP campaigns, passive events ext)
Create a concept >>>Ask others for opinions on the concept >>> Improve the concept >>> Run small test runs (EG: If the event requires 5 rocket trucks to be deployed at the same time I would do an event with the GCB in which they use 5 rocket trucks to destroy a combine outpost) >>> If all test runs produce a lot of lag or fail go back to drawing board >>> Work further on the concept to allow more freedom for players (EG: If there's a computer which is needed to open a gate I would try to figure out what to do if a CO orders the computer to be destroyed) >>> Ask people for their final opinions >>> Finalise concept >>> Turn into an event if the concept is good

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

  1. Insurgency (This event is more of a fun event instead of an RP focused event)
A group of terrorists have started a holy war against both factions. The factions only have one option, they must neutralise the terrorists by base raiding them. A factions rewards for successfully base raiding will depend on how they are currently doing in the field.

If the losing side manages to locate and destroy the terrorist base within 45 minutes, they will receive 3 rocket trucks along with 5 buffed up units (5 players will be chosen by the highest-ranking officer to receive 500 HP along with the AUG) to help the losing side make up any losses caused by the terrorists. If the winning side manages to locate and destroy the terrorist base within 45 minutes they will receive a rocket truck along with 2 buffed up units to ensure that the losing side still has a chance at taking back control of the field.

If both of the factions fail to locate and destroy the terrorist base within 45 minutes, buffed up terrorists (750 HP with a AUG) will storm each base (First the losing faction will be raided and then the winning faction) and take an officer hostage. If a side fails to save the hostage either via brute force or diplomacy they will receive no rewards and if they succeed they will only receive a rocket truck.

2, Questionable Ethics (This event is meant to be a fun event with some RP)

The GCB has decided to search one of their former laboratories in search of any left behind work. As they enter the building they will encounter a small number of zombies which they must eliminate before investigating the building. After killing the zombies the GCB must then investigate multiple computers and clipboards. The clipboards will contain no in-depth information which will be told to the players but just information which will help the GCB locate a dangerous parasite in a later event. The computers on the other hand are more in-depth. Once a player does a /me I (Or another GM) will copy and paste a message. The information on the computers which reveal the questionable ethics of the GCB and the overall lore of the GCB and the parasite which will be encountered in later events.

After all computers and clipboards are searched the GCB will be alerted that an unexpected sector sweep is going to take place. The GCB will receive 240 HP along with a weapon of their choice as long as the weapon is reasonable. Then GCB will have to survive waves of NCPs and for the finale, defeat a nerfed OSS (GM with 650 HP and a rocket launcher)

If the GCB manages to survive the waves they will be able to keep their weapons and extra HP until they die or place them into storage.

3, Something Secret Steers us (This is meant to be an event which mainly focuses on RP which will start a storyline what will be furthered in other events)

A WATCHMAN has been dispatched to locate the source of multiple distress signals. In this event, they must investigate their surroundings to locate items crucial to the event. Unlike the other events, the event will only stop when the WATCHMAN wants it to which means the WATCHMAN can miss very important information.

The WATCHMAN will enter the building and in the building, there will be multiple interactable objects: a USP pistol, a box, 2 notepads and a body next to a radio. If the WATCHMAN chooses to investigate the USP they will find out that the USP is only missing one bullet and that the identification number matches to a fellow WATCHMAN named "Adam Gateson". If the WATCHMAN investigates the box they will find out that the box is labelled as containing evidence and that box is void of any contents. If the WATCHMAN investigates both of the notepads they will find out that the first one's paper is ripped and the only thing left is a fragment of a sentence saying "Something secret steers us" the other notepad appears to be a suicide note detailing someones' inner struggles and the guilt they felt for aiding the UU. And lastly, if the WATCHMAN decides to investigate the body they will find out that the body is, in fact, Adam Gateson and that he died from a bullet wound to the side of the head.

If the WATCHMAN finds the notepad containing the ripped up message their car (Which they arrived in) will be broken (Frozen). The WATCHMAN will be pushed to try to do some mechanic RP however their attempts will fail, then a citizen (A GM) will approach them and offer to help. Due to having no other choice, the WATCHMAN will accept and as the citizen attempts to fix the car they will try to have a conversion with the WATCHMAN. In the conversion, the citizen will try to get information out of the WATCHMAN and if the WATCHMAN slips up and mentions anything relating to the investigation the citizen will quickly repair the car allowing the WATCHMAN to return to CWU base.

However, once the WATCHMAN arrives at CWU base they will be given 300 HP and then from mid-range, engaged by a citizen with a USP. If the WATCHMAN dies the planned storyline will either be altered or another entity (Such as an anarchist faction) will be given the opportunity to continue the storyline.

How often do you think GMs should host events?
In my opinion, it depends on the quality of the event. If the event is something simple (Like, for example, a pill store or a gun store) then I think at least once every 2 weeks. If the event is something complex like an entire campaign then I think once every month or 2 is enough.

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules. Additionally, I will add [DEFN] to my Steam name.
Yes, I do.

To be frank, you not only make a good CWU CO and faction lead, but also actively engage in RP when the chance arises. I honestly would like to see you in our ranks.
