What has happened to the server, i've been on a very long hiatus from anything cvr related and came back to finding it a ghost town, could anyone active and willing explain to me what happened in the last, let's say 8 months?
People got bored of the normal gameplay loop. However when events do occur then the server is packed.
Also people got into the habit of "If no one is on then am not joining" and that also helped kill the server population.
Yall stress to much no faith in the grand plan (read my forum post called "The End Of All That Was" pretty much covers the state of the server for the past year)
lol, server died since there’s nothing new enticing people to play anymore. Can only play with my current toys for so long before throwing them out of the pram due to boredom ?

There has not been a single Dev update ever since March, and the last major Dev update was in December, last Trello activity was in June and after that, radio silence.
And to make things worse, certain people have made such metas that made the game unfun for everyone else, this happened to me and i am not naming who did this but they know who they are..
Lastly, and this is just "out there" theory:
Sentinel is either dead, in hospital aka something happened to him, or he just does not care anymore.
