What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
I have been working on a project with Dodgy that requires great lore detail and constant event work and GM seems like the proper next step. I want to bring fun and lore back to CvR in hopes to increase player engagement with the server. Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
I was a Head Admin on DEFN and ran the PR and Event teams on Icefuse Military RP Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
Constructive criticism is fine and is always welcomed to improve and adapt how I plan and host events but harassment doesn't hold much weight with me, I normally just ignore it. While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
Tell the GM it's fine he can't participate and see if I can get another GM to assist me. If not see if any active staff are willing to help run the event. While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
I would either PM a higher up explaining the situation or try to inform a higher up through a discord channel about the issue. I would also explain how to crash happened so further GM's don't make the same mistake. An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
Don't do anything / Ask staff to get on While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
Inform the CO that the door is there for an event and to not destroy it, if he continues to break the door inform staff and let them handle the situation. While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
Have a sit down with the MAJ and see if you can address the complaints to improve upon your events in the future After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
Apologize to the CO for the inconvenience but inform him that in the situation my matter takes precedent over his DB. What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?
GMs are allowed to facilitate normal gameplay functions such as infil classes and crafting, as well as providing utilities for other classes such as civilians in the form of cars for transportation. Inside of events, GMs have a wide range of tools and utilities to help in creating their events. GMs also possess the ability to negate certain rules in the MOTD to better run their event, though this ability requires proper discretion. While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
Depending on if the event is a large RP based event or just a small mini event the outcome would be different. If The event is large and has been planned for some time I would kindly ask either the Kilo or Technician to undeploy a vehicle or two for a brief amount of time so the event can take place. If they decline I would attempt to alter the event around the inconvenience the vehicles bring to the table. If the event is a small mini event I would postpone it till after the vehicles either get destroyed or undeploy. Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.
Planning proper events takes a lot of time and dedication, my steps are the same whether or not the event is major or a small fun break from normal gameplay:
1) Plan out the RP reason this event would take place within the timeline of CvR to give reason for the players to be engaged.
2) Begin to plan out the props, entities, NPC's and all other tools I would need to pull off the event.
3) Consult with either other GM's or trusted individuals to get a second opinion on the matter.
4) Do a test run of what I have planned on a singleplayer map to see how it will play out in game.
5) If all goes well queue the event for server access. Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.
1. (DATA TRANSFER)
Deep within the bowels of Pripyat a lone Union being hunted by a group of rebel scouts is pinned down after gathering intel of a planned rebel attack. Knowing there is no way out of the situation alive he takes the manhack off his back and inserts the data shard into it hoping it can reach combine base in time to stop the attack.
The event is pretty straight forward, somewhere around F point a MPF Unit (A GM) will deploy a manhack and attempt to, slowly, get it to Combine base. The rebels are aware of the manhack and it's importance and are tasked with shooting it down before it reaches the Combine HQ. If the manhack successfully reaches Combine base the Combine will get a minor advantage during the next rebel base raid, such as giving a select few units better weaponry, deploying one to two Combine turrets (GM pills) or giving them a slight AP/HP advantage. If the manhack is shot down a prop manhack would be spawned in it's place on the ground, once it's shot out of the air both teams then have the ability to carry the destroyed manhack back to their base. If the rebels successfully get the manhack back to their base they are entitled to a drone project without needing to spend the resources. If the Combine successfully carry the manhack back to their base they are entitles to the previous rewards listed above.
2. (WEAPONS RECOVERY)
A Combine train carrying a weapon shipment has been derailed near the Pripyat area, both sides are aware of the location of the shipment and see it as an opportunity to increase their arsenal.
Both factions fight for a weapon cache located on E point, the first team to hold the point for 5 minutes will receive a large boost to their arsenals and a small boost to their AP. To force the timer to go down there must be at lease 3 units from your faction on the point, any cloaked units do not count towards the timer.
3. (BOMBS AWAY)
The Combine have caught wind of a rebel explosives cache located in the middle of the Pripyat sewage system. The rebels are planning on using these explosives to fend off a oncoming Strider attack and the Combine are planning to infiltrate the sewers and destroy all explosives.
The rebels will start in the sewage system setting up a defensive structure around the cache while the Combine gather outside to attack the rebels. The rebels must hold the cache for 15 minutes and defend against the Combine onslaught, rebels may run back to the area after death as well as the Combine. The Combine win the event when they clear the area of all rebels and /me attempts to disarm explosives. If they roll higher than 50 the explosives are disarmed and they win the event, if they roll lower than 50 they win the event but the explosive cache detonates ravaging the area. If the rebels win the event they will receive a rocket truck at no coast of resources, if the Combine win the event the may deploy a Strider at no cost of resources.
How often do you think GMs should host events?
Every other day if possible Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules. Additionally, I will add [DEFN] to my Steam name.
Yes Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.
From the limited information I’ve seen on this project (being a juggernaut) I’m interested in the event. Not only that but the mini event ideas definitely seem like they would be fun as fuck.

I like the concepts and the answers you provided, I'm worried of the toxicity you present and whether or not you'll exhibit that during events. Nonetheless, good luck.
