What is your reason(s) for applying for Gamemaster?
I want to be able to make people's experiences on the server better and make their time here memorable. I feel that it is important to leave good first impressions so that people keep coming back to the server.

Have you ever been Event Staff or something similar before? If so, list your previous positions.
No.

Describe how you react to negative feedback, from constructive criticism to borderline harassment.
I will note whatever they say and try to improve upon what I have done wrong.
If it becomes harassment I will ask them to stop and ignore them.

While planning a server-wide Event you realized that it would make hosting it much easier if you had another Gamemaster assisting you, and manage to get someone to help. Unfortunately 5 minutes before the Event is scheduled to begin, they messaged you and said they would be absent. How do you proceed?
I would message another gamemaster that I think may be available and go on prepared to do my best.

While planning an Event, you decide to test some of the tools you think would be helpful. You go to the admin room, and start to experiment. Unfortunately, while testing with some NPCs the server crashed. How do you react?
Inform the people via discord that there was an issue with testing after informing higher staff so that they do not think something went wrong and proceed to inform the rest of what happened and that the server will be back as soon as possible. I would also inform HGM and Sentinel exactly what I did so it can be prevented in the future.

An NCO has finished training a Recruit, but there are no COs or Staff online to provide the whitelist. What do you do?
I whitelist the recruit myself if the server is "dead" and it is unlikely that a CO or Staff would provide it. Otherwise I inform staff on the discord that there is a recruit in need of a whitelist.

While hosting a server-wide Event you have implemented a RP section where players can interact with a computer in order to open a door. Unexpectedly, a CO decides that they would rather that door stay closed (Presumably so that the other side cannot continue), and orders that the computer be destroyed. Given that the door is essential to progressing your event, how do you react?
I would tell them that this would hinder the event and ruin it for both sides. If they are insistent then I would allow the attackers to break down the door with a high enough roll (above 60) and give the attackers some vehicle support in the form of an armed vehicle (jeep/hunter) due to the defender's insistence that they have the advantage in the event.

While hosting a server-wide Event, a CmD/MAJ decides that they dislike it, and begin to openly attempt to get players to refuse to participate. This reaches the point that there are almost no players participating on one side. How do you resolve the situation?
I ask them about why they think that way about the event and what could be improved. If it is basically harassment I ask them to stop and inform both sides that there will be a reward for both of the factions if there is high enough participation.

After hosting a server-wide Event, you are in the middle of a post-event Debrief when the COs present tell you to stop hosting your DB so they can host theirs. How do you react?
I tell them that I need to finish my DB so that rewards can be given, then allow them to host it afterwards.

What permissions do Gamemasters have, both inside and outside of Events?

Inside events would be anything that would progress the events without added unfairness and risk to the server.
Outside events would be things like whitelists and rp based actions that normal players would not be able to do on their own.

While preparing to host an Event, you notice that there are 3 vehicles deployed, and that the server is lagging a bit because of that. What do you do?
I ask that the vehicles are scrapped or undeployed for an event so that the server would not be lagged out.

Describe your design process of Events prior to queuing them.

I create a rough representation of my idea in sandbox mode and account for the map the event will be hosted on. Once I complete this representation I play out the idea and write a sort of "script" so that I can note what I could change on the event and possible problems that may appear.

Create three Event ideas and describe them below. Be as detailed as you feel necessary. Originality is appreciated, and a lack of details will be penalized.

1.
Rocky Road (mainly civilian due to "loadouts" being provided by a GM)
Preparation:
An area will be cleared, marked, and prepared with a safehouse at the end, preferably along a long road where enemy NPCs will be spawned along. A group of civilians with "EVENT" in their names will be provided loadouts; Medic(medkit and defibs, SMG of choice, gravity gun, limited to 1), Runner(added speed, non AA-12 shotgun of choice, gravity gun, limited to 2), Guard(+450 health, 250AP, SMG or shotgun of choice, gravity gun, limited to 3), Sniper(sniper rifle of choice, climbswep, gravity gun, limited to 1), Target(base health and 50AP, given a deagle that may only be used if they are the last one standing, limited to 1). Optimal participants: 8

Details: The group must take the Target to the end of the road without letting the escort die. If the escort dies and must be resurrected twice, the group loses. Each member may only be resurrected 3 times not including the escort. Hazards such as helicopter bombs may be placed onto the road for the group to deal with. If the group leaves the road they are given 5 seconds to return.

Reward: If the group safely brings the Target to the safehouse at the end of the road, they may chose between a 50k each reward or reasonable guns of their choice along with 500 health and AP. If the Target is eliminated, the event is considered over.

2.
Daybreak (Major event, both teams)
Preparation: A building on a point will be cleared and marked as an event building zone until preparation is finished. A circular prop will be placed in the center of the point with multiple zombies of varying type guarding it. A radius will be marked outside of the point as zombie/headcrab spawn points. A poll will be created asking if the teams will attack their common enemy together or separated. If they choose to be separate then the winning team will be more heavily rewarded. If both teams fail to destroy the objective, the npcs will be despawned and an @@ will be created stating that they have migrated under the cover of night. This event will recur every few months until the objective is destroyed.

Details: Both factions have a common enemy; zombies. This group of zombies are quite sensitive to light and have gathered in a point for safety! And they are protecting something that may change everything; a combine controlled Gonarch that was set loose during an attack. The rebels and combine may work together or separately to destroy this creature and dispose of the zombies and headcrabs. If both groups fail to destroy this creature before the 30 minute timer is over. After the 30 minutes the npcs will be despawned and an @@ will be created stating that they have migrated under the cover of night.

Reward:
Together: Each faction will be provided an armor boost of 200 and a desert eagle.
Separate: The faction that destroys the Gonarch will be provided with an armor boost of 400 and weapons of choice (not including mace cloak or pill pack weapons)

3.
Pickup Gunz (Anyone can participate)
Preparation: A GM will place 30 boxes with varying color across the map. Green=common (15) Orange= rare (10) Red=legendary (5) The better contents, the harder to find. The GM should be cloaked and place the boxes in places that are not frequented by players.

Details: 30 boxes of guns, armor charges, and ammo have fallen out of a supply chopper across the map! Get them before they are taken by someone!

Reward: If a box is found by a player then they should PM the GM that a box has been found. depending on rarity a certain amount of armor will be given along with a gun and the max ammo for said gun

How often do you think GMs should host events?

Minor event: Once or twice every other week
Major event: Once per month.

Do you understand and accept the following clause: I will not leak Staff or Gamemaster information, I will not abuse my powers, and I will not break the Gamemaster rules. Additionally, I will add [DEFN] to my Steam name.
Yes.

Do you understand the basics of using ULX? List what you know.

Yes.

This application is very nice, and well written too. Although, "pickup gunz" isn't really a unique nor feasible event, and is essentially a Scavenger hunt but with boxes and no returning to a common objective.
Best of luck.

Nice app, only problem I can see is you haven't joined Partisan, which gets a M4A1, 310 HP, And an amazing community that you should totally join.

fairly decent application, the warns and no prior experience is a bit off putting
also the pickup gunz event is kinda bland, you should atleast make NPC clusters guard the loot or something
also dont bother with giving a weapon and armor out manually, we have a tool called "item crate" where when the crate is destroyed it drops whatever you put inside it (but its limited to armor batteries, medkits and hl2 weaponry)
+1 nice app

Accepted.

While you have a fair few warns, your application is otherwise satisfactory. I have a couple comments on the Events, see below;

-Rocky Road is difficult to run simply because it takes a lot of space on the map, it'd be good for a very low pop event on a decently large map such as Stalker, but outside of that it would be hard to deal with. Additionally, non-wave-based zombie/NPC events such as what you described are hard to run by nature of the way gameplay works for the server. Guns kill quickly and players move very fast, which means that if the event is composed entirely of players, they will sprint through it and effectively ignore any obstacles. The NPC spawn limit prevents you from effectively doing good prior setup.

-Daybreak seems a bit odd, as I mentioned before due to how high gameplay speed is (and yes I am thinking of it post-update), events like this tend to have their obstacles ignored. To be honest, this concept sounds like it'd be more enjoyable to the players if dealing with it from the perspective of small squads rather than both main Factions, and it'd be far easier to manage for you as a GM in that way.

-Gunz is kinda bland, there's a lot of events that serve to pretty much just give out weapons, so something like this is rather lackluster. If similar typed events didn't happen every couple days it'd be more enjoyable, the concept itself isn't bad in moderation.
