How do you feel about jury/MP activities?

I like activities because it gives me an excuse to break building rules because chucking players at brick walls or into the ocean with a catapult is funny and good

What? Catapults are allowed so long as they have a realistic construction.

What if you made it more rewarding for someone to do something with their captive?

Like starting a random mission where difficulty the locker? Destroy a prop that spawns when starting it or shoot 5 balloons.

Evidently these are things that need to be coded and implemented but it's something that's make people more willing to commit to doing something with their captives.

Rewards could be more HP or armor which anyone would want or credits/xp.

I don't understand what you mean. I had a stroke while reading that.

if i remember right we used to promote juries who made an effort with their captives, rather than being purly efficient

If an MP or NPU points to complaints of all the activities being copy-pasted, that does nothing but show a self-imposed creative restriction.

Let me also state that reasoning MATTERS. If the post started off with "there is not enough support in place to make activities consistently entertaining", that's workable.

But as long as the argument consists of "system bad, me no like, remove whole thing"; I'm sorry but nothing will come of it.

Either way you cut it this is all a result of the system/rule. Now, I'm not here to play the blame game. I believe its best if everybody works together on a solution (if its needed). But I don't think we are quite there yet. The whole point of this thread was to understand how everyone feels about activities---their problems and their upsides---in a constructive way.

The hardline removal of a rule isn't constructive, and it's been shown the community doesn't serve itself well when it comes to server improvement. Furthermore creative limitations are NOT a side-effect of the rule, the rule itself (while flawed in my opinion) does not inhibit nor impede creative processes when it comes to interrogation activities.

I never said the rule should be removed (although I personally don't enjoy it); I'm not advocating for anything to be done (yet). I made this thread hear different people's experiences with the system and discuss the way things are with it and why, not to get it changed.
My point was that lackluster activities happen because of Jurys not trying and creative/ULX limitations. And ALL activities (the bad ones and the good ones) happen because the rule. Good activities AND bad activities should be accredited to the introduction of the rule.
