Why do you want to be part of the staff team? Must be at least 3 sentences.
I initially played CvR around in 2019 and I am glad to see it is still running. It still feels like "Old Garry's Mod". I recently interviewed for junior game master and have enjoyed taking sits where I can. It's nice to be able to help people - I can't help with everything as a game master. Being apart of the staff team allows me to help more.
Any staff who can vouch for you?
No, I have not had personal interactions with staff.
An MPF Union kills a Civilian but you don't know the reasoning behind the killing.
What do you do?
There are many variables on what could have happened. If there was a ticket submitted, I would accept the sit and investigate. I'd teleport to the citizen and ask what happened and then follow up with the Union. Depending on what answers were given will factor into the outcome of the sit. It could have been accidental, crossfire, citizen was warned to leave the combine base and didn't. If it was accidental, the result would be "Be more mindful of where you shoot". If the Union is new, I would inform them that killing Citizens is not acceptable and give them a verbal warning - otherwise it's a warn.
Somebody had made a ticket saying they passed Sniper applications and that they need it’s whitelist, how would you proceed?
I would check the respective Combine/Rebel discord in subdivision changes. If the information is there, then I would give them the whitelist and notify their CO. Otherwise I would ask a sniper CO if they passed and are eligble for the whitelist.
An H.E.C.U. Soldier enters the Combine base to "RP defect".
How do you proceed as a staff member?
Defection is possible and only possible in certain scenarios. If the H.E.C.U. is genuinely serious about defecting - I would notify the proper parties to set things in motion.
A ticket alleging spawn-camp has been made, and the offending party is a member of cross who was found inside rebel spawn borders, what is the correct course of action?
Cross are allowed to scout. I'd initially check chat logs to see if they requested permission and if it was granted - if so, they are inherently allowed in borders. Afterwards, I would check to see if they have killed anyone inside borders. If they have - I would notify their CO and warn them.
You find a SU/MACE CO infiltrating without notifying their team in chat. You bring them into a sit to talk to them about breaking the rules. In this sit the CO threatens to demote your RP character if you don't let them go.
How do you handle this?
I'd gather any information that I could in relation to threats and inform someone a higher rank above them.
A Grid has created a ball that he has encased himself in and is propelling himself forward using the gravity gun, is this breaking any rules?
If the Grid is inside the base - it is not breaking any rules. I would not classify it as a "prop vehicle" due to the fact that it should be somewhat realistic and look like a vehicle. Otherwise, using it outside of base would definitely be breaking rules.
A group of players comes onto the server and threatens to DDOS or raid it.
What do you think you should do?
If a group of players came on and threatened to DDOS/Raid - I would gather all of their steam id's, document the threat via recording or screenshots. Ban them and pass the information up to higher ranking staff for further evaluation. This behavior is never accepted in any community.
You see a high ranking staff member doing something questionable, but you don't know if it is allowed.
What do you do?
I'd ask the staff member what they are doing and why they are doing it. If it seems suspicious after the answers I have received, I'd report it to someone above them.
Out of nowhere a random set of numbers resembling an IP has been typed by an NCO has been typed into OOC, what is the correct course of action?
I would mute and then follow up with a ban. After that - I would send any evidence to a higher ranking staff member. Doxxing of any form is nothing to joke about.
