STEAM_0:0:130971886 Who warned/banned you?
No clue SU something or other Date of Warn/Ban:
29/03/2021 Ban Length:
1 Day? Warn/Ban Reason:
FailRPx2 Why should we remove warn/ban?
The RANGER try-out was out of the base borders and way in my scouting range. Me standing around is not disturbing a try-out. In all the evidence that was submitted and recorded I was unable to run away or I would be shot by said ranger and his union gang they all could see me or was I hiding at. At one point I even tried running away to the CIV spawn only to see a union looking right at me I'm out of vc and chat range so i cant see if he's telling the ranger I'm there but he would of definitely killed me as soon as i ran away. So I think really this is a matter for a stupid rule that is halfway enforced and not clarified on. No unit should be doing a try-out out of base borders to start with. And secondly our scouting rules are a mess and need to be worked on and fixed as some maps you are fine running up inside of the base others no. So what is it guys , We allowed into the base or not. Anyways moving on from that point. As far as everyone else's opinion in RECON outside of base for scouting is fair game. I even warned them myself and they did not move into base borders still. So in-fact that would mean the RANGER was FailRP in a way as He should be inside the base for anything logistical. I really think you guys need to step up your game with the scouting rules and make it clear and precise in a way that makes it useful for recon and not just a chore to do when you are bored. And I also would like every CO to understand that you got to do your try-outs in the base otherwise stupid and unreasonable things like this happen. Fix Scouting Rules For Recon I cant say it enough I've asked admins and mods what the rules are and I get completely different answers.
Now I would also like to add this question. Brennen the maker and idea behind Scouting it was set up with the Idea that RECON could scout into base BUT where not able to enter any CL1 or above zones. Now is that still the case or have you guys changed it without telling us as the line on the rules for scouting makes no sense as gameplay affecting things are completely opinion based , other than the few important things that stand.
If any of my RECON get banned like I did for Strange and Unknown rules like FailRP in a scout. Well that would make my points even more important.
Everyone on the Staff team use this as an example where vague and unwritten rules are bad and need to be worked on by the staff and high command. Evidence/Other: The warn issuer had a few clips with iffy and kind of meaningless things that can be viewed in 10000x different ways.
I was the one who banned you. Firstly as it stands now interruption of Tryouts, Training, or Debrief is considered FailRP. This can take multiple forms, such as anarchists shooting up a DB, MACE suiciding next to a rebel DB, approaching a tryout while scouting, or killing a trainer/recruit.
With all due respect, I believe everyone would agree that where the tryouts were taking place was in fact within "base borders". You never argued against that fact and plainly can't, as anyone involved in those tryouts knows it's within combine spawn camp borders.
Not only that, you ran towards these tryouts on at least TWO occasions, at one point death logs even showing you right next to Zodiac. I watched you hide behind a tree while he tried to shoot, and when he stopped you simply continued to move towards him and his tryout. You told an SU "Watch this" as you moved closer and closer to the tryout. There was no instance where it was a good idea to approach these tryouts as it offered you no intelligence in your reconnaissance nor did it benefit anything but your own apparent desire to cause trouble in this situation.
As a CO you should understand the importance of Tryouts, Training, and Debriefs and why we don't want them to be interrupted. You blatantly interrupted/stalled these tryouts twice while attempting to do so on at least one other occasion.
I understand that my POV may be perceived as biased, so herein I'm submitting a Medal.TV clip which I took whilst spectating Kobii. https://medal.tv/clips/47887105/d1337dinbbUO
If any further elaboration is needed or if anyone has questions I'd be more than happy to oblige.
I'm fairly sure that scouting allows you to go past the spawncamp borders but not enter the actual base, that was the policy when I asked on DEFN Main like a year ago though.
On Pripyat, there's a lot of territory that is the base borders (NOT the CL signs, there are separate text screens that show where the base borders are), and in that area is where tryouts usually happen. The actual CL1 area is FAR too small to actually have any kind of tryout hosted inside it. What qualifies as disturbing a tryout/DB is also a little bit vague, but as an SU/MACE what I know is that disturbing a DB includes anything that actually directly disrupts the DB so that people have to go and do something like chase after an SU/MACE or any other form of thing that gets people out of the DB.
I know there were Scavs scouting into a DB a couple days ago, I don't remember which ones it was but I know they were scavs. Generally it's better to be on the safe side when doing anything involving DBs or Tryouts and as a MACE/SU I avoid them altogether. I'd think it'd make sense for Scav/CROSS to also be very conscious about anything inside the base borders as they can't turn invisible and are thus far easier to spot and qualify as being "disruptive".
I don't know if you actually disrupted the tryout from what I think of disruptions as, nor do I know if my thoughts are correct, but these are things that would be nice to hear from HAs just to make sure I and others are handling the situation properly.
Well according to the map and things already set up for base borders that is not right. If i was on an anarchist i would be able to kill them with no issues rule wise. So how is me trying my best not to get dommed and running to better cover that i might actually hear what the hell is going on a bad thing.
What you have there is a clip of me scouting. Outside of base borders.
1 day ban 1 week ban the point is that this is kinda never cleared up in any rules im aware of.
Now if you wanna go ahead and post the rule I broke and how that relates to scouting please do. As i cant seem to find it myself

Going off of this, I was one of the trainees here. When we first started tryouts you tried to join the line. Second time as shown above you were trying to get as close as you can to the tryout as possible. I will say that you should take this with a grain of salt, since I didn't have OBS running to show evidence. But that is my prospective of this.

Rule C2d is the rule you broke.
Rule 34a An anarchist could not have interrupted as it would be interrupting a tryout.
I think you should thoroughly read through the rules once again as they do offer some pretty good guidelines for what you should/should not do. When it comes to being in someone's base/spawn camp borders we are pretty clear on what is and is not allowed.
Yes I wont deny I came up to you guys very closely as I saw a big massive movement of unions and such so i jumped from my perch and followed to see what was going on and i turned around and 3 more guys are there soo i just follow the line cause at that point im caught and i had no idea what to do then when you all lined up and it was clear it was a tryout i joined in because well what else am i meant to do with about 10 units around just looking at me not being able to do anything. Now i do this alot in scouting and believe me just pretending you are a civ or even just a random guy gets you out of situations you would never think are possible. Now sure its stupid but ive seen plently civs and anarchists do the same outside of bases when it comes to mass combine/rebels again rules need to be established so annoying things like this dont happen.
As far as i am aware if you are caught scouting you do what you gotta do get arrested or run or even hide again. If i ran like an idiot i would of been mowed down in a millisecond,
